I loved the first game, not so much for the story but for the awesome action and weapon selection. This is definitely one of the cases where I want more of the same.

That's not the original publisher OR developer... at least, as far as memory serves me... wtf?

Yeah, the original dev was "People Can Fly", and they were bought out by Epic.

Wow. Way to use the most overused subtitle in subtitle history.

Does it still have a gun that shoots shurikens and lightening?

The franchise is basically dead. Painkiller (the original) was great at the time but hasn't aged well at all. It's less than half the age of Half-Life and yet that game is way more accessible to today's gamers.

So to take that aged gameplay formula and 'resurrect' it by hiring some random team of devs to squeeze it out like the muddy brown turd that the game will be, seems like not only a failed idea to make money, but it won't be fun for the rest of us to play either.

more first person shooters? really? do we really need anymore? developers, stop making these mediocre games (meaning, all first person shooters). we don't want them or need them. first person shooters are soooooo played out.

Not all FPSes are bad. Case in point: Bioshock. The Darkness. TF2. HL2.

Yes, please no more FPS. Pet simulators and exercise games are the wave of the future! Make more of those!

Last year seemed pretty dry for FPSes.

Besides CoD5, which I refused to pay above normal price for (apparently having Call of Duty on the box makes you worth £10 more than every other game), Crysis Warhead and L4D were the only ones I played and enjoyed.

Wow, I wonder how much Yahtzee had to do with this.

Everything - that would be my guess.

Can't say i remember anyone ever mentioning this game before the yahtzee review... now i rarely visit a site that doesn't have some post about shurikens and lightning.

I've been meaning to pick it up on GOG or Steam if they have a sale...

Awesome.

I'm excited! Sure the target audience will be small. But I enjoyed it for what it was ... killing a sh*t load of bad guys with lots of awesome guns and explosions.

If that's not your cup of tea, then f*ck you!
