We realize that New Zealand is like, a bajillion miles away, but we thought we'd bring your attention to a Kiwi-bound PlayStation release schedule, which finally provides a firm release date for Titan Studios' upcoming PSN title, Fat Princess. According to the list, PS3 owners can begin strengthening soul-crushingly negative obesity stereotypes when the game drops June 18. We still don't know whether the States will see a simultaneous release, but it certainly fits nicely within our previously promised summer launch window.

I love the art style. The art and strategy reminds me of Team Fortress 2.

Nahh... it's more like the Live Arcade title Castle Crashers and the upcoming WiiWare titles Swords and Soldiers.

Oh Fernando, do you know what the difference between 2D and 3D is?
PS...Fat Princess was announced BEFORE those two titles you mentioned, so don't imply.

He said "art style".
No matter if the game is 2-D or 3-D, the three games have similar art style... and I wasn't dissing the game or anything... I just wanted to point that those two other have more similar art style than Team Fortress 2.

Why is he's getting voted down?
I've read just about any devlog/analysis of the graphics and played TF2 long enough to memorise the style off by heart and not jump onto the 'hurr hurr everything looks like TF2/Pixar' bandwagon and I agree with Fernando on this one.
Maybe I'm an artstyle-blind thicko, but I'm pretty sure that thetwo links he posted are a whole lot more like Fat Princess than TF2 is.
http://data.earthli.com/news/attachments/entry/1825/team_fortress_2_engineers.jpg does this REALLY hit the home closer than what the two 'hypothetical 3d versions' of Fernando's pics would look like.
I thought not...

so Funky Monkey, this game was announced 3 years ago? No? Then it wasn't announced before Castle Crashers. Hell, it just barely edges out Swords & Soldiers by 2 months.

TF2 doesn't look like Pixar. Not sure why people say it does. Just because both are stylized?
I wouldn't say Fat Princess looks like TF2 or Castle Crashers. Swords and Soldiers does look like Fat Princess.

I hope that the June release is correct. However, if you go on IGN's site they list the game as Q3 release and September 30...

Nice! I think devs should release more games in the summer. Infamous, Batman and Prototype along with this should definitely work well on a lazy summer day.

It is supposed to be an exclusive started by DarkStar before they were taken over by Titan Studios. If you look at Titan Studios they refer to the game as 'Sony's Fat Princess' and Wiki claims it to be a SONY Published game.

If that song isn't part of the soundtrack then I will have half as much fun playing this game.

It's up north west of Japan right along with Old Jersey and Victorian Steam Punk Japan.
