Advent Children Complete gets June 2nd US release

Cloud and Sephiroth are ready to duke it out again -- this time in a Blu-ray exclusive extended version of Advent Children. The US release will be ready on June 2nd, and will feature full 1080p video and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 audio in English, Japanese and French. Unlike the Japanese release, the US release will include a plethora of subtitle options: English, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Thai, Arabic and Dutch.

In addition, the previously rumored extra features turned out to be real:

I can't even imagine wanting to see this movie a second time, let alone buying it.

Final Fantasy XIII playable demo.
Now, if by "Sneak Peek" they don't mean "Demo" mostly no one is going to bother with this one, except die-hard fans.

I don't pay for demos. Especially Final Fantasy demos, because Final Fantasy demos suck. (The demos, not the games.) I almost didn't buy Final Fantasy XII because the FFXII demo that came with Dragon Quest VIII was so terrible. FFXII ended up being one of my favourite games ever.

I heard that the demo wasn't quite that intriguing --> old build.

Anyway, I'll definitely get this as my second Blu-Ray movie when I can get it for a discounted price.

Having not played FFVII, I would more than gladly buy it off of the Store first day.

I'm not a big FF VII fan at all. I really liked Crisis Core, but the original didn't really intrigue me. But...I love this movie. I don't know why, I just do. And the fact I will be able to see it on Blu-Ray makes me cream my pants.

I hate Cloud, I hate Sephiroth...Vincent...eh...

But I can't get enough of this movie.

I hope they redid the lip syncing so it doesn't look terribly off. They can be bothered to add dirt to clothes but not rework the lips...

You must realize that the mouths were made to fit with the Japanese language not English. So when you watch it with the Japanese audio track it fits perfectly.

Redo the whole movie for another language, lol. Watch it subbed, dubs suck IMO.

As much as I resent Square right now, this will go nicely in my Blu-ray collection. :)

does any one know if they are also going to add ff7 the last order with this set. It came with the limited editon dvd box and i havelt herd any news if it would be something there adding to this . if none of you have seen it i recomend it its a grate 30 min anime movie that take place before advent children

Thai? Errr... I watched Casino Royale in English with Thai subtitle on. I wasn't even sure what I hear and read are even the same story.

holy shit if this is the cover to american version looks awesome! compare to jp but am waiting for my import version to be shipped to me since feb and am glad i did cause sneak peak FF13 WTF? that is not demo just preview of FF13

anyways i love the cover to american version looks nice and really not a FF7 fan but this movie was great.

I hope they release Final Fantasy VII as a PSone Classic through PSN on the day of release like they did in Asia...

Exclusive look? Wait for it, I swear it's two minutes of devs talking about it, with short clips mixed in.

They don't mention the demo here, which would have been a huge selling point. Sorry, but unfortunately, I don't think it's coming to the American release. :( :( :(

If there is no demo on it I wont be getting it. I have the movie on my ipod already . Yeah its not 1080p but the blu ray isnt worth much without the demo. The preview is most likely the trailers everyone has already seen.

If so I'm buying it regardless, I don't care if it's missing a FFXIII Demo, this'll look great on my shelf with the rest of my Blu-Rays.

If the Sneak Peak were a Demo, they'd call it a demo.

I might give this a rent just to see added footage to the movie. There's no demo, this is only a sneak peek.................................. in this version. Much like the original release of Advent Children, Square will probably make a special addition that costs extra money and that the demo will come with this special addition. I wouldn't be surprised at this what so ever since Final Fantasy is a franchise that prints money and people would be more than willing to spend extra cash just to get their hands on a early demo of FF XIII

The sheer fact that this suggests that the version I already own on dvd is not a complete product is insulting. For me to buy this it would have to have more then the standard extra 5-10 minutes of bonus added content. Maybe even explain all the stuff in the original cut that made no sense at all.

Square frequently does this sort of thing, even with their games. Just all the International versions of... Well, basically VII-XII.

And actually, from everything I've read, the extra 10 or so minutes are designed to explain things left too ambiguous by the first cut of the film.

Anyway, yeah I think I'll be picking this one up.

I don't know what you're all complaining about but I'm buying this the first week it's out whether or not it has a demo. I don't really care about a demo anyways since I'll just be buying it when it's released.

will this movie work on pal ps3's coz im pretty sure ps3 has region locking for movies ? help?

I also want to know this - haven't heard anything about a Region 2 release yet.
