Since Halo 3's launch on September 25, 2007, its creators at Bungie have been keeping a running count of enemies killed in the game's campaign mode. Today that 11-digit kill-o-meter rolled over to 10 billion.
According to Bungie, that number breaks down to more than 17.5 million nullified Covenant per day since launch. From there, the dev offers up some equally impressive figures: 730k kills per hour and 12k per minute, with an average of 650 total kills per player to date. Since they're technically bad guys, shouldn't slaying all those aliens earn us some sort of virtual halo? Hey, it could be the new Recon Armor!
