Dan Aykroyd really likes the 2004 film, The Incredibles. So much so, in fact, that he believes himself to look like an Incredibles-esque superhero in the upcoming Ghostbusters game for Wii, telling Newsweek, "I love the way we look in the Wii platform ... anybody who looks like an Incredible is automatically a superhero." Though we're not sure if there's a direct correlation between the two, Aykroyd firmly believes so, continuing, "I was so pleased that they shaved off at least 60 pounds from my current bulk."
Apparently Aykroyd's current poundage isn't all that was shaved in translation from movie to game, as the romantic elements between Bill Murray and Sigourney Weaver have been omitted from the forthcoming title. Aykroyd says "the format of ghostbusting lends itself to a video game beautifully," while apparently the finesse required in convincing Sigourney Weaver to fornicate with Bill Murray doesn't so much. Not even a minigame, folks? We kid! It probably didn't help that Ms. Weaver declined to be part of the game, huh?

The Wii version is a good style for a Ghostbusters type game. Although my Apple IIc had the superior version to these. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iW2kFcePevs

Joystiq... please use another image. That pic is from last year.
Red Fly is developing the Wii version, and they are using an improved engine from the Mushroom Men game. The graphics looks so much better than that pic.

Is this sprinkles or just another stalker I have? The stupidity feels the same so I can't tell.
Anyway if it's a stalker, you know the drill people. Ignore him and he'll go away eventually.

Fernandos,
Even IF the screen is an old one...and the newer ones look better, they will STILL look like my dead Grandmas butt next to the PS3 or 360 version.
Fernandos,
I thought GRAPHICS don't matter to Nintendo plumberbois.
I guess the DO.

Any Nintendo fanboy, including myself even tho i play more xbox than anything, will tell you graphics matter. but if someone said i need to choose between the best graphics out there (Killzone 2), or a new and innovative game (Mario Galaxy), i choose something fresh and fun that makes me play 10 hours straight and think i have only been playing for 10 minutes. few games on the 360 give me that feeling where was many many games do on the wii and ds. even games iv played before. GTA for example feels fresh on the DS where was it was getting old by GTA4. mad world feels fresh.

But if you're expendable and never really mentioned, that means you must've done some really huge jack@ss thing to make people forget that you were ever part of the team!
...and really, would you rather be the heroic one helping the others bring down some ghosts - or the jerk who started it all and made you have to go through some grand adventure that'll get the team famous?

I like where they've taken the Wii version. Previous screen shots had the bad case of the uglies, but the cartoon styling hides the technical limitations. Well it worked for Team Fortress 2. The rest of the Orange Box is showing it's age, but TF2 still looks awesome.

Why does there always have to be an alternate "Wii version" of every game? I'm not saying there shouldn't be a version of the game on the Wii,but why can't they just downscale the game and put it on the Wii? This game,Dead Space, etc. Why can't they just scale down the graphics and such and make a Wii version. The thing is more powerful than the original Xbox and look at games like Chaos Theory, the Wii is capable.
Stop making these Wii Lite games and just give us the final product with scaled graphics, not an entirely different thing.

There are several reasons. First, if by downscaling graphics you mean lowering the resolution, it's not that simple. I don't know the actual technical limitations of the graphics processor in the Wii, but it may require simplified models, textures, and shader code. Perhaps not, but graphics is a really complicated field.
Another reason is the control scheme. Many games don't translate well from a standard controller to a motion based one. The real problem with games going from the 360/PS3 to the Wii is that they don't generally design the game around the controls, but rather design the controls around the game. This can work, but in almost every case if a game is built from the ground up with the Wii controls in mind it will play better.
Also, the system is targeted at a larger, more casual audience. This doesn't mean the game is casual, but that they have more freedom in how they can approach the gameplay without having to worry about alienating the primary demographic of the console.
Really, the Wii version of this game sounds like it might be more fun that the 360 and PS3 versions. If there was still a Wii in my household I'd definitely have a hard time choosing which version of the game to get.

Even though your comment is funny, the random unnecessary apostrophe kinda turned me off. So, no +1 for you, no -1 either. You break even.

Who cares about this Weaver person? Alyssa Milano is in these games.
Alyssa Milano!
They should just change the name to "Alyssa Milano and the Ghostbusters."
I would totally buy that.
