New PSP commercial reveals 7 different colored models

The PSP will now be offered in more colors than there are Skittles, as this latest commercial for Sony's handheld shows. Sony has the requisite silver, black, and white models here, but those handhelds are also joined by the more vibrant green, red, yellow, and blue models. What color are you leaning toward? Personally, we wouldn't mind grabbing that yellow one and slapping some Pikachu stickers on there. You know, because we're absolutely insane.

When the hell are we gonna see these in the US and EU?

How are these any different from the "Carnival Colors" announced on Engadget (sister site to the he-manly Joystiq) last January?

They've added silver and black to the ad as if those were new colors -- why would that be news?

I got so happy thinking that the rest of the world other then Japan was getting new PSP colors then I saw the end of the trailer and now I feel sad. I hope at E3 Sony will say you can buy new PSP systems colors not in a bundle pack.

Technically, only 4 of those are colors. Black, Silver & White are shades..... (yuk, yuk, yuk) Skittles has 5 colors in the original variety. If you count all of the other varieties, it'll be a long time before PSP colors catch up to Skittles colors. I just wish that they would release a matte black model.

Anyway, the more colors the better. Bring 'em on!

Alright, NOW it's about time I get a new PSP. So much PSP love, it's phenomenal. Sony Rocks!!

I'm thinking about getting a third PSP for my brother since his screen covering has a huge crack on it.

Look on the net for a new body / screen. It should be less expensive.
That is, if you or your brother doesn't mind the older hardware.

When is Sony going to come out with the clear plastic model so that you can see the inside of thing. I have an OLD Alpine car CD Changer Demo that was all clear as well as the cd case and that was the way to go.

I have a GBC thats clear.

No fair! I have been waiting for that green for so long now, and I just decided to drop my warranty on my PSP. Meaning, if my PSP breaks "accidently" I can't go into BestBuy and pick up a new color like I normally would. But that's of course if they ever decide to come the US.
