Whoever's making this is about 10 years too late to cash in on this. Although, the funny thing is this will likely be a better movie than shadow of the colossus :P

Had it been handled by Pixar, I would have had high hopes for this movie :D

The first Spyro game was so awesome; one of those games that I rented so many times it would have been cheaper just to buy it. I never played any of the ones after that, but I can see the potential for a movie not sucking.

Spyro is a mischievous little purple Dragon with a big attitude, and can be quite cocky and a hothead. He is very extremely curious and hardly ever cautious, which can get him into trouble. He enjoys toasting sheep as a hobby and sometimes looks for any bad dude to fry. He made friends and rivals along the way, along with his best friend, Sparx the Dragonfly.

Spyro The Dragon, the first one on the PSX was an amazing classic platformer. My whole child hood consisted of Spyro, crash, banjo, and mario. But I will hate activision forever for ruining Spyro the dragon. And a movie? Well that's just ridiculous. I say series needs a good 'ol reboot, as in remake the original or release it on the XBLA, I'd buy it :]

It's a joke, obviously. They wouldn't put that anyone involved in Eragon is involved in this. That would be silly.

Spyro was killed by studio executives, not a lack of fans. I played the original Spyro, and lots of us would have bought into a PS2 version if Insomniac was still developing it.

What I like about Nintendo is they respect their franchises, and by extension, the fans of those franchises. They still make games with fan favorite characters. But Sony dropped Spyro and Crash while they were still relatively popular, and now they are mishandling Jak and Sly (Jak changing developers and staying on the PS2, Sly missing in action). Long time fans, like myself, are brushed aside as they abandon beloved franchises in favor of new franchises geared towards new fans.

It doesn't sound like that bad of an idea. As long as they don't have Wayne Brady saying EXTREMELY corny lines like in Dawn of the Dragon it might be good.

It's shit like this that makes people quit the internets.

The original Spyro on PS1 is probably one of my top 3 favorite PS1 games, but I haven't played any of the games in the series aside from that. If this is legit, I might go see it, just for laughs.

Why won't they let Spyro die? All it's been is a dirty whore since insomniac stopped making it. The series has been complete crap after insomniac stopped making it. A movie will just make it worse

I will watch this, whether it's terrible or not, only because I loved the PS1 games.

why would they proudly proclaim that it has anything to do with the garbage that was Eragon?

i read the book, it has more traveling than Lord of the rings, and half the action, with predictable plot twists.
i saw the movie, it hurt my eyes and insulted my intelligence.

before we know it, it will be produced by the doucebag that produced Eragon, and directed by the jackass who made postal.

Ok 1, producers of Eragon.....did they not want this to succeed???? everyone knows that movie was shithouse
but 2, I loved the legend of Spyro games (own all three), even tho Ive played the old ones, and the whole time i thought the story line was good, so i am freakin excited!!!

As soon as I saw from the producers of Eragon, I knew i'd hate it. I ABSOLUTELY ADORE the spyro games, iv completed all 8 100%. When I saw what they did to Eragon the movie i was disgusted. I really reckon making a movie of Spyro will ruin it.

The first three Spyro games where awesome, The ones actually made by Insomniac. But now they're almost trying to make us forget the first games ever existed.

My point is, If you wanna make a Spyro movie, Use the first, Original Games, Not The shitty ones where there's no such thing as gnasty gnork!

Hm I'm thinking about blowing up any proof of copyright they have and giving Spyro back to insomniac....

OH GOD, don't forget about the video game!! *Slap in the face and kick in the ass* that had to be one of the most awful games I've ever played. After watching the movie and playing the game, I read the book two more times, literally, so that the good memories wouldn't get replaced with the crapy graphic memories.

That poster looks nothing like Spyro! he is not that dark purple! it's the stupiddest vertion of him I've ever seen( besides from the original games where he looks square- headed!) the spyro from dawn of the dragon is awesome though! I hope they start telling us some fricking information already!
