From what I remember, he has the ability to coat anything he touches with super-hot plasma that explodes a few seconds later. Yes, he uses this ability with throwing playing cards - no card-gun.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong though, it's been awhile since I read comics.

Yeah he can add a charge to any object he wants and blow it up. His staff is an energy staff too so it packs a more explosive punch when hit with it. I was waiting for him to blow up that letter Wolverine was standing on after he jumped off it. But instead they decided to pussify him.

Call me "cautiously optomistic" about this game, but like all other movie games, it will quckly drop in price. I'll wait a month or two and pay 20 bucks.

ha ha ha! But seriously...After seeing him jump into a helicopter, jump from a helicopter down 50+ feet, destroy a robot in the thin layers of the atmosphere and live to tell about it.....probably. If he can do it, I will buy the game to see it myself.

I'm still super-enthused for Batman: Arkham Asylum a bit more (simply because there really hasn't been a good Batman game in over a decade, and recent games that feature games tend to be decent at least.)
With that said, X-Men Origins: Wolverine looks absolutely amazing. I have both reserved; The Dismemberment Room awaits me.

does anyone know the actual game mechanics? The trailer looks great, but I did not see much of the actual gameplay. Other than that, I think this game might break the cycle of bad movie games (in my book anyway).

Does the game follow the movie closely or is it more faithful to the comics? I.e. does the game have the comic version of Deadpool or the horrible "Dudepeel" from the movie?

The more I see about this game the more excited I am. I keep trying to tell myself that it's probably going to suck because it's a movie tie in and it's based off a comic book either one of which on it's own is generally a recipe for disaster but even knowing these things I can't help but get excited.

I'm actually excited for this game too. I think the media forgets to mention that the game started before the movie was attached. That my friends, should mean that this is a different beast.
