I might pick it up if it reviews well. I'll poke around the internets first.

No need to wait for reviews.
This is a port of the newest version of OutRun2SP. OutRun2SP was already released for Xbox/PS2/PSP as "OutRun 2006: Coast 2 Coast," but the main differences seem to be:
- As they're only advertising 15 "courses," it probably means that the original OutRun2 stages are not included.
- Since it's on 360 and probably based on the Lindbergh version, it should look better (and of course be in high-def).
- Looking at the promo material, I get the feeling that only the main game modes (OutRun mode, Time Attack, Heart Attack) will be included, plus online Vs. I figure that there aren't going to be extra or "campaign" modes, like the "Coast 2 Coast" mode in the last home version, in this new version.
As such, I would expect all of the reviews to say things like "it's the same game we played a few years ago" and "not enough innovation" and "you bought this already," rather than pointing out the great control, attention to detail in the graphics and the fun gameplay.
I can only hope that enough folks will ignore these reviews, see the game for what it is (which is to say, a lot of fun and worth the $10) and buy it anyway. I'll be buying it tomorrow.

I might get this but I just got Burnout Paradise, and that is the best racing game I've ever played (albeit I haven't played that many). Fantastic game, but this seems more arcade-esque. I'll see what the reviews are like :D.

OutRun is not really a racing game. You can race people but usually you are just driving to ... well ... drive.

I'm not a Ferrari fan, but I love me some Outrun! The PSP version still spins in my UMD drive.

Hope it works nicely with the Xbox 360 Force Feedback Wheel... if it does, that'll be an easy purchase for me.
