Well put. Looks pretty intense! Hope it has a good dose of Ghost Busters character to go along with all that havoc.

Kudos to Atari for having the balls to publish - shame on Activision for letting it go.

yeah, I'd totally rather give Activision my money, since it would make a difference in the quality of the game.

Awesome. Only thing I'm vaguely worried about is diversity in the weaponry. If it's just the proton packs the whole time it could get tiresome. Although, if the act of struggling with the ghosts is fun enough, maybe not.

There will be a variety of weapons to use. Your character will be a special weapons tech the team hired to test out all of Egon's new mad scientist goodness.

I'm still a bit confused as to who the player is -- do we pick one of the 4 main characters, or are we a new character altogether, or what? Since it's an ensemble cast, I'm curious how the player fits into the story.

It's a simple question you ask so I don't know why no one has ventured to answer it after so many hours.

You take the role of a new recruit to the original team, according to IGN, anyway.

Other "ghost catching" weapons have already been shown. Some sort of shotgun like thing and a slime tether were two of the things I remember.

There is of course absolutely no way it could be worse than the original NES turd.

Did anyone actually get all the way up those stupid stairs without cheating?

lol@ Ghostbusters for NES. That was rated like one of the worst games ever. I think im gonna give this one a shot, even though Atari hasn't been doing too good lately.

@Loki: I know. I can't believe Activision thought this wouldn't appeal to people. Gamers have an average age of 30. That means they were around 5 years old when Ghostbusters came out and about 10 when the sequel hit. They've wanted to be ghostbusters for 25 years!
