I haven't read comic books or graphic novels in ages. I think my crowning moment as a fan was back when I a got an issue of Spawn #3 signed by McFarlane at the local store or something. The Nightwing comment reminded me of Shadowhawk? I think I had a few of those, and then someday I'd heard he'd come out of the closet, or something? Been ages.

also in the comic books (original story) bane was actually smart, and gained his strength through an experiment involving the drug venom. the movie Batman and Robin really screwed up Bane, and Arkham Asylum doesn't seem to do much better unfortunately.

like I said it's very likely that Bane will still be the genius we know and love, the game after all is written by Paul Dini. We only saw a brief bit, where Bane was either in a position he didnt really want to be in, or hoped up on what could be much more venom than he's used to

@ The Dark Wayne:
That episode would be Battle for the Cowl #2, sadly.

Of all the nerdy things, I never got into graphic novels or comic books. I feel like a failure.

Don't even joke about that, please.
This makes him look like some meat head. Bane is supposed to be brilliant.
I'm still buying this, but I'm just saying.

well, it was clear at first that he was not in that situation by will, and then it looked like Joker gave him a lot of venom, possibly more than he's used to, so there's really no chance for him to show of his prison born and raised intellect

It's time to kick...some ice!
As for this game, it looks awesome! I'm still not a fan of Hammill's Joker voice, and I never liked TAS. Kevin Conroy had a good voice though. Best out of all the Batman voices (with Keaton coming second I think).

They have the demo at the wal-mart in my area. It's just a challenge level where you fight wave after wave of thugs. I thought it was pretty great.

Yes, I played the demo today and holy Bat Shark Repellant, I'm so jazzed. I've had this reserved at GameStop for a week now.
It's been a great grudge match between this and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Both look so damn good, but I have a re-occuring need for more Bats more often.

I dont think Bane would really fit into the Nolanverse. Sure I mean if you got rid of the venom he's a muscly brilliant criminal, but you cant have the mexican luchador mask in a serious movie can you? And if you take away the mask AND the venom there isn't much left of Bane. I think they oughta due the Black Mask, no super powers just a criminal kingpin with a secret identity. It would fit perfect since at the end of TDK most of the criminal leaders had been killed, leaving it wide open for the Black Mask to take over Gotham

Actually... I don't see why the Venom does NOT work in the Nolanverse. No more so than the fear toxin from the Scarecrow. Plus, Batman lost his love interest, introducing Catwoman as the semi-villain / love interest would pull the movie together really well. Ending with a final battle with Catwoman & Batman Vs. Bane

I'll protest in the strongest possible terms if they put that joke of a villain Black Mask in the next (or any) Batman film. Black Mask is horrible. Absolutely nothing to his character whatsoever.
That said, the next Batman film better end with a pair of tickets to the circus.

well at least the fear toxin thing is real, not necessarily like that but there are things that do that. The only way they could do venom realistically is if he was just a steroid user. As for the black mask I don't think he's that horrible, I mean he's nothing perfect but it's not like it matters, Nolan would create his own version that would work just great. I mean the mask doesnt have to be made out of the ebony of his parents coffin (admittedly, ridiculous) he could just be a guy in a ski mask uniting all of Gothams criminals since they got crushed

I always thought the old Broken Bat storyline would work pretty well as a movie.
Of course, they'd have to re-imagine him a bit.. but i still think it'd rock.
The problem would be that they'd need to have both a Robin and an Azreal (or equivilent) to take over for batman. that'd mean Batman Begins 3 would need to introduce those characters, to set up for bane in BB4. Or end BB3 with Wayne broken / Azreal going nuts on bane.
Robin is the problem... the robin character isn't gonna fit into the Nolan batman... but i guess if they combined Robin/Azreal into some form of Dark Robin then it just might work.
PS/ Its a real shame they pulled the plug on the rebooted superman. I was hoping they could keep Superman & Batman going in sync... ending with a Dark Knight Returns/Strikes back crossover... though i guess thats entirely wishful thinking.

Personally im glad that and Justice League got canceled. TDK Batman just doesn't fit with the JL or Supes, and I dont think the movie going public would quite understand it if they had two separate movie universes
