Ok Richard, I'm not trying to be antagonistic but.... what is the purpose behind XBLA in brief? Can you talk about this on the next podcast please? Isn't the point of demos so that we can try out a game for ourselves before we buy? So you try out a game's demo, film it, and then tell us whether it is worth a look? Am I getting this right?
"Ok Richard, I'm not trying to be antagonistic but...."
And yet you're succeeding so amazingly!
Why don't you go out and "not try" to cure cancer! If you manage to accidentally pull that off you'll be doing the world a huge favor rather than just being some random jerk in the comments section of a popular gaming blog.
Essentially, the idea of XBLA in Brief is to give people a glimpse of every game released for XBLA. Some people don't bother downloading every single trial game that's released, so this feature is here to point out which games are worth looking at and, in some cases, actually buying.
When I first downloaded the trial I thought I totally sucked at it as I could only manage to get 63 to 64 percent of the coarse. Then I relized the time wasn't being extended.
It is also nice to see a good game pop out for 10 bucks given the recent bombardment of 15 and 20 dollar games.
Now sega, lets see a prettied up Sega Rally 1, Crazy Taxie, After Burner and Space harrier Arcade pop up!
It was a really short trial but will make a fantastic addition to my arcade. #97
It's a shame the trial is so short. I am tempted to pick this up, only 800, which is only £6.80, which is bugger all. I'm sure i'd spend much more on this if I were to play it in the arcade.
Really easy. While you're driving up to a curve, very quickly let go of the gas, tap the brake, and then jam the gas again. You'll have a hard time going straight if you do this, but curves will become a lot easier. If you've ever gone drifting in Mario Kart DS or similar, then the concept will feel very familiar.
Also, IIRC, in Manual transmission, you can downshift and quickly upshift the gear to get the same results, but with even less speed loss.
@ Richard Mitchell Not trying to be a jerk here and I don't want to belittle the obvious effort you put into these videos but, are people really that strapped for time that they can't bother to download a demo? I guess my problem is with people then. Not you or the videos.
