The folks at Criterion Games don't just sit around crashing virtual cars all day, you know. Well, okay, maybe they do a little, but they also produce a video show called Crash TV, which provides a behind-the-scenes look at everything the company is doing with its game, Burnout Paradise. In the latest episode, Criterion previews some of the cop cars coming in the Cops and Robbers DLC pack. We've embedded the latest episode of Crash TV after the break, which shows off around 15 new cop cars in total, so click through and get your 7-minute dose of cop car goodness.

I don't think they will any time soon. I think DLC like this is the new "follow-up" game, by which I mean the same game engine, with a different model on-top.
Criterion can add LOTS of functionality through updates, whether they be paid or free - but the "Paradise City" today is almost, bar the map itself, completely different to the "Paradise" when it was released.
I genuinely believe Criterion are pioneering the new way of game distribution - in which a game will basically become and "operating system" if you like. A base that can be built upon with DLC.

Its starting to feel like Criterion is spamming up with DLC, and so far whats been released isn't that substantial(new cars). I haven't purchased any DLC for Burnout Paradise yet, but defiantly getting the Island, maybe Cops and Robbers.

@Lucas
Your not thinking about the tons of free stuff they have added to the game. The bike patch was huge. There was no day/night cycle before that. Early adopters of the game seem to be more appreciative as we've seen the game evolve.

Looks pretty cool, but I'm getting really impatient and wish they would just give us the island and quit bringing out all this other stuff. After this, I bet they're going to announce another car pack or something to come out before the island. And then probably another. At this point, over 1 year later, I would rather buy a full sequel with a whole new world instead of an add-on island that's only the size of downtown paradise.

There making a Police Liverie for all the original cars, the french man said "We have PCPD liverie for all 33 cars". That leaves out the Hunter Civilian and Krieger WTR Racing out as there is already the Hunter Citizen a Krieger PCPD Special. (If you believe all the stories on Joystiq, then these haven't been released yet)

If they wanted to have so many different varieties of cop cars, why only use that one siren? European countries dont use the American sirens. I think itd be a look cooler if they all had their native country's siren, instead we get them with all the same, and I predict it getting very annoying.

I believe it is supposed to be a Capture the Flag type game where you steal gold and bring it back to your base.

Hmm.. we already have cop cars and we also have the "Marked Man" mode which is almost the same thing. So.. it's basically just more cop cars?
