Wow, writing that headline was as close as we've ever come to being Perez Hilton. What an odd moment. Oh, but anyway, G4's Morgan Webb was on Jimmy Fallon's show last night and she brought along the new Wii version of Punch-Out!!.
So now, just a paragraph after feeling like Perez Hilton, we're going to tell you that if you check after the break, you can watch Jimmy Fallon fighting King Hippo as Morgan Webb, Ice-T and Elmo look on. ... This is turning out to be a really weird Thursday.
You know... I'm not sure if I'm becoming jaded or growing up, but... who cares? There are so many factors here that are ripe for angry rants, but I don't care if Jimmy Fallon is funny or not, if Morgan is attractive or not etc etc... I don't even care enough to express an opinion of Fallon's comedic virtues or faults. He's just some dude with a TV show. I do know that I like punch-out though, so will probably watch the clip after work.
The purpose of the clip was so that we could talk about Punch out not whether or not you guys think Morgan Webb is hot or ugly. A lot of people on this site that constantly make these comments need to get out a little more. It's as if some of you actually think that she needs to live up to your unreasonably high standards to validate herself. Go to TMZ or some other gossip site if thats the type of garbage thats important to you.
Ya know, her jawline gives her character. If it were regular sized, she would just like the billion other generic looking women in the entertainment industry.
This thread reminds me of the "hot vs. not-hot" debate and Kevin's statement of the difference between "hot" and "Would I do her" from "The Office". Ah, good times.
The rest of you, I don't like Fallon because he's bad at his job, simple as that. Conan was damn good at his job. I think there were a lot better choices than Fallon, it sucks that he was the only one that was available.
And I'm sorry for not liking Morgan's face, but I honestly find her creepy and annoying.
Seeing it like this, I must say this is the 1st time the game has really impressed me, graphics & presentation wise at least. Although I'd have to imagine Fallon was just flailing around for the sake of looking like a jackass goofy late night tv funny guy or something.
I only bothered watching his 1st show, haven't seen it since. They still do the dumb bit where people lick stuff?
I thought it looked kind of whack from that minute or so we just saw of the game. That video also confirmed that when/if I do eventually buy the game I won't be using the motion controls. I don't care for them anyway and that was just ridiculous.
I gotta give props to Nintendo for finally marketing one of their core games. If they give it this type of push leading up to its release it should do quite well at retail.
With games like Dynasty Warriors: Gundam 2, Patapon 2, Devil Summoner 2, Sacred 2, UFC Undisputed, Terminator:Salvation, Infamous, Cross Edge, Fuel, Conduit & Damnation releasing between now and the end of May (near my b-day!) Punch Out is really going to have to impress the crap out of me to merit a purchase. Out of all those games I mentioned I'm currently only 100% sure to purchase UFC Undisputed, Infamous & Patapon. I'm on the fence when it comes to all of the other titles and will just have to see which ones appeal to me most.
