I like that they used almost all the voice actors from the animated series.

Heh, she tried to attack Batman at the end of that clip.

I'm starting to feel that in general, Batman comics suck, and only his non comic stuff like TAS, Batman Beyond, and BB and TDK are good. Battle for the cowl has really driven that point home, with the new Batman telling us all the faults of Bruce, and it makes sense really. I mean TDK and BB is great because Batman was just starting out so criminals didnt know if he would kill them or not, and at the end of TDK we know he wont but criminals dont. But in the comics, he's a public figure so he doesnt have that mythical fear, and criminals know by now they dont have to worry about much more than bruises and broke bones and they can always just bust out of prison when they need too.

that too, honestly I would have been happier if they just killed him, er, me, instead of going back to the past. It's like how there's talk of Captain America being reborn, sorta just makes everything they sacrificed and died for meaningless.

that and

*SPOILERS*

wayne got 'killed' so there's no point in continuing because either he's gonna come back (SHOCK!) or jason todd's gonna single-handedly ruin the entire current and future batman story. and you're right, batman has become way too predictable. if there's ever a 'mystery character', it's jason todd.

I read both and thought they were pretty good. That said All-Star Superman, We3, and yes New X-Men as well were great. I don't think Morrison has showed his entire hand regarding Batman and Dr. Hurt, the third Batman, et al. might show up again in some form.

And I'm sorry but to say that Morrison has never written anything good is just completely ridiculous. Seven Soldiers, Seaguy, All-Star Superman, We3, New X-Men, Arkham Asylum are all awesome.

As much as I loved the animated series, it just didn't have the same atmosphere as that of this game. I'm glad they didn't go with a recreation of that Harley costume, because - let's face it - that costume was too cheesy, too Saturday-morning.

Besides, I can't watch the trailer from work but judging by her outfit (complete with name tag!) she was probably posing as an Arkham nurse or something like that before running into ol' Bats.

As for the whole comics debacle, all I can say is that I remember Knightfall and the ensuing "new Batman" arc with Azrael. DC, you've done this before. 'Nuff said.

The mini dossier at the beginning reminded me of something that I hadn't considered: Harley's a doctor - in fact, she was a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum itself. So, yeah, definitely just "dressed for the part" now that I've actually watched the trailer. I'm so looking forward to this game.

For those of you who don't know, Harley Quinn was originally created for Batman the animated series. She was later made into a DC comic because of her popularity.

Did she have blonde hair in the animated series? Yes. Did she wear different costumes in the animated series? Yes...on some occasions. I myself liked her chocolate pudding costume.

Nothing major or out of the ordinary for the character. I'm just glad she as the same voice. Arleen Sorkin is the best!

Um...actually Harley does have some superpowers - Poison Ivy gave them to her through the magic of chemistry. She has above human-normal strength and reflexes, plus she is immune to toxins (which is probably why the Joker hasn't managed to kill her yet).

I will stop being a dork now, I promise.

I've been a comic fan since the late 1970s, and personally I don't like Harley Quinn. She's good in the animated series, but absolutely revolting in the comics. She's pointless, and takes a lot of the Joker's edge off. When he's a solo freak, he's intimidating. When he's paired with Harley, he's a goofball doing a sideshow.

Of course, Batman (and much of DC) has sucked balls for the past few years anyway, so I guess that's par for the course.

"There's not a comic book nerd aficionado alive who doesn't have a profound appreciation for The Joker's right-hand gal, Harley Quinn." WRONG. I loathe the character. Not because she's not actually from the comics, but because she's another very boring obviously early 90's result of over ambitious "political correctness" revisionism. Guys guys we need a new badass villain like The Joker! How about.....a CHICK Joker!? FUCK YEAH. Or not. She's horribly boring.
