THIS game better be amazing - the developers are talking this crap up WAY too much for it to be anything but a disappointment, they are coming off douchie. So... just how awesome are you?

If they can pull it off, all my respect goes to them! But if they fail, they are going to feel like dicks.

Devs want to sell their game, i'm ok with that, the internets are full of these kind of videos but these wolverine guys are starting to get ridiculous... if the reviews aren't stellar they'll become the industry's laughing stock.

If it ends up being half as good as the developers are pimping; it's good!

Love Wolvie too. And also Gambit!

I know its minor, but I dont like the spinning claw moves. Seems like a bit of a sissy move to me. Think about it. If you had razor sharp claws coming out of your fist, would you stick your arms out at your side and spin around in a circle, or would you punch, stab, and rip to dispatch your enemies.

And Huge Jackman is way too damn big to be wolverine.

Lots of the moves with the claws look exactly like the fighting style in Ninja Gaiden II with the Falcon's Talons to me... I hope the control system will be similar at least then..

If you've ever played marvel vs street capcom the spin moves make look real familiar to the berserker barrage moves. I think I like the direction this game is going but for some odd reason I really think it may have issues

All that spinning and no damage what so ever done to the enemy by the looks of it.
If your going to let us play as Wolverine, then his claws better cut stuff up. Not by the looks of that lame video though. Its another swipe claws/swing a huge sword a million times at one person to take them down.

Man these guys are setting themselves up for some potential major backlash. Sure, the graphics look pretty slick, but gameplay seems generic to me. I don't know about this, huge wolverine fan but not really excited about this one. Doesn't help that the devs are acting pretty lame, and they really do get on my nerves.

in the comic Dog looked like Sabertooth but the writers weren't sure if he would end up as victor creed. plus the fact he doesn't have claws. comics tend to fudge details, in one comic he is barely taller than puck, in another he's taller. i understand they changed things to make a better movie like they did spider-man and no web shooters. i'll still watch it and get the game

AARGH! Seriously is it just me? These Joystiq videos run at like a frame a second, but I just watched a GameTrailers video and that played fine. Am I missing some sort of codec or something?

Sounds like your computer isn't very new. The one I'm on right now (at the office) does the same thing, but it's a piece of shit. At home, no problem, but I'm a pc gamer, so it's pretty beefed up.

Yeah, It's almost 4 years old. But like I said, other videos seem to be ok. Gametrailers, for instance, ran smoothly literally just before I watched this video.

Gj Hollywood, please butcher the X-men/Wolverine story some more.

Rogue is a teen...

Collossus spoke perfect english briefly in X Men 3...

Both Cyclops and Professor X died (technically)...

Does it have to be scripted exactly how the comics are, no, but it seems the films don't care where they head, just roll film. Next we will find out that Magneto is Storms son...

:P

rofl +1

Yeah they really are messing up these comic movies. They would be fine in their own right, but when there is a backstory and a lore already in place... I dunno, have some respect or something?

I thought the same thing with the Batman movies.. Batman Begins especially. Great movie... but come on!

seriously, nowhere did i ever read that Wolverine was Sabretooth's brother,
it does hint that Sabretooth could be 'Dog' but not his brother

I hope one day Marvel walks to my door and lets me film a true adaptation of X-Men the way the comics intended

Agreed. At first I thought they were going to follow the Ultimate Universe, but now they're just being silly.

X3 was just a terrible movie in every aspect. The only way they could fix what they screwed up is to say that X3 was an alternate reality and have Cable come back some time after X2 to prevent the happenings of X3.

Sabertooth was supposed to be the son of wolverine's half brother... so like his half nephew?

There is no dog in the movie, they are straight up half bros.

I'm something of a comic nerd, so the dealmaker/breaker for this game might be the option to play as a comic book version skin for the characters. I'm not crazy about Pert Plus shiny hair Hugh Jackman Wolverine, but I would play through it as a version from the comic.

Ditto for the other characters. Don't get me started on Deadpool's movie look.

Don't get me started about my movie look! Anyone that's wondering why they haven't shown me in the video game trailers yet are in for a shocker.

But wait.....maybe they fix me in the game. It is the game after all and they can fix characters from the movie right? Right? PLEASE SAY YES! o_0
