Call us crazy, but we always thought that the idea behind making games was to sell tons of copies. Not so for Sega, as it seems weirdly satisfied with MadWorld's lackluster sales, based on comments to Gamasutra. Debuting early in March, Platinum Games' over-the-top brawler managed to move 66,000 copies, despite generally positive reviews.
Sega's other M-rated title on Wii, House of the Dead: Overkill, also managed to have a sub-par debut, selling 45,000 copies during February. What does this say for The Conduit, the third of Sega's big games for Wii? Could Sega's gamble on the mature audience of Wii gamers been a poor move? All signs are pointing to "yes" right about now ... but Sega seems to disagree!

Yikes - yes that is expensive.
I purchased HoTD and MadWorld at Target and got a 3rd game free. 3 games for under $100 wasn't to bad at all.
And we will be getting the Conduit went it comes out.

see, according to the last survey the least time given to a console is 360 not wii, so you cant claim for some magic reason you are right without having solid facts(while at least there is a survey supporting the wii claim a few pages ago right here). That is beyond the point tho, even if most players spend more with their wiis than the 360(with ps3 being on top), that doesnt matters if you are already biased. You make no sense, by claiming that you bought your wii to have fun(which i do personally, more than with my ps3 even tho i know its not the usual average), and then you just buy 2 games..Buy more games then, if you say, "no i wont, all games are not fun(wtf?)" without trying them, then you never bought your wii except to say" i got a wii".And thats IF you got one.
Big woopedoo, if i just bought 2 games for my ps3, i would also say it collects dust, thats why i freaking research and at least rent games on a regular basis. And the same applies to wii.
On topic, If sega is satisfied, WHO THE HELL CARES(not that the numbers are on the loss side either), i mean, Who will release the next games?a random topic troll or the happy company? I thought so.

while there is logic in your argument, companies dont often claim success or satisfaction when in reality its not happening(other things sure, but otherwise on THIS particular issues, nope).A companies image is on the line when PR statements are made, so its not something to gamble about easily. Moreover, its the usual right step to keep quiet when things go sour and admit it.An example was Midway, with some of its wii games selling 100k in a year, and they were way more concerned about their financial success than Sega is.Other times they are frank and face the failure right off the bat, like the initial reaction on NMH.
Doing so afterwards affects their credibility and whats is more, leaves them open for certain liabilities.
