Rock Band Weekly: Styx, REO Speedwagon, Hautewerk

If you're a fan of commercially successful rock groups, then you're in for a treat as Styx and REO Speedwagon are combined into a 7-pack next week for Rock Band Weekly. Joining them wil be Hautewerk, which ... what do you mean it doesn't have a Wikipedia page?! Is that possible? It has a MySpace page, though, if you'd like to know more about the band.

No "Come Sail Away"? Really?? Renegade should be fun though.

Actually I take that back, Come Sail Away needs to be saved for a keyboard attachment since half the song is just vocals and piano.

Well Baba O'Reily was mostly keyboard as well, but that didn't stop them from putting it up.

Too Much Time on My Hands is great too, hopefully we see Come Sail Away soon.

I would complain but Guitar Hero Metallica and Chinese Democracy will keep me satisfied on the music game front for a while.

Blue Collar Man (Long Nights) is an awesome Styx song, I would personally say their best. Glad it's on here finally.

Not a huge Styx fan, but I really dig Renegade. Glad to see it coming out. I've been kinda out of touch with Rockband since I turned my attention to all the Fall '08 games I missed back in, um, fall 2008. I'd fire that baby up again to play Renegade though.

Wow, "Renegade" is coming? That's too cool...oh, wait, the Styx songs are re-recordings. Enthusiasm lost.

It doesn't matter that they're re-recordings. All three of those songs were originally sung by Tommy Shaw and he's still with the band. Besides, I saw them last summer (and will again this summer, actually), and even the songs that were originally sung by Dennis DeYoung sounded pretty good with the new guy they got.

Uh... who...te-work?

The Styx songs probably have to be written by James Young or Tommy Shaw, not Dennis DeYoung.
