how about they release it when it doesn't look as boring? sorry but it doesn't seem interesting. World In Conflict and Company Of Heroes hold the RTS crown for me right now..way more interesting an action packed. This game is just like mehh. I doubt I'll get it for even 20 bucks. To each their own!

I don't find your message to be deserving of a Blizzard defense blitz, do I did vote you down anyway because you're obviously trying to start trouble and that little countdown shtick really gets on my nerves.

But it's true. Blizzard rehashes every fucking thing. It just takes them mad long to do it.

at Bored: How so?
WarCraft Orcs and Humans was very different from WarCraft II and WarCraft 3 changed almost completely from WarCraft II.
Diablo to Diablo II was a huge advancement also. StarCraft was the first with no sequel and this is the 2nd and so far there's alot of updates, though I will admit most of the updates do seem to be graphic wise while the gameplay is pretty much the same. But why "fix" what ain't broke? SC was by far the most balanced RTS I have ever played in my life. WarCraft II was my favorite, then War3 then SC, but SC was definitely the most balaced. I also am a fan of medieval games so thats why I like WarCraft better.
As for WoW, that was a whole new IP. Diablo II is looking to be another sequel with alot of changes and there isn't even much info on that.
Anyway, I found a PC for $640, AMD Phenom with a decent Graphics card. I'm buying it next week hopefully just so I can play SC2 and D3.
So yeah... where's the rehash?

*Like* a sport? For some of us, Starcraft is a sport... I'm not THAT crazy for it but I still can't wait for this game. Seriously, this sequel has taken half my lifetime to come out. :*(

I can't stand sports commentary.
I know Starcraft players can be hugely competitive, and I know some people like seeing the play-by-play. I on the other hand, play games to _get away_ from sports.

I don't know how bad your reading comprehension is, but the other factions are full expansions(with new units, etc.). You'll get to play as all 3 races in all of the games, it's just that each of them will *focus* on a certain race(with more missions for that race). I don't know why that's so hard for people to get over.
Basically: you should be happy that there are going to be two expansions for this game instead of one(eg: Brood War), but instead you're whining.

I was under the impression that each episode would retail for $20-$25, for a total of a full-price game with much more content. Of course I could be completely wrong about this but who knows?

The "get a life" comment is completely stupid. How does, say, playing baseball, hockey or football for a living contribute to civilized society any more than playing video games for a living does? It's entertainment with established rules, a spectacle-game if you will, and if people want to see others play it and achieve greater skill than they ever will, it's their decision.
