Me neither. $120 for a slimmer bust, keychain, skin, and 4 little figure? No thanks. Would have been sweeter if they add a 1:24 scale of the ecto1.
Batman collector edition is worth it. A batrang, as long as it's metal and sharp.

Atari have some balls to charge $130 for lead infested Chinese figurines and box art designed in Paint.net. I've seen better quality junk from a Mickey Dees Happy Meal.

I love collector's editions with cool stuff, but come on Amazon. Be reasonable. That price is just too hefty.

No shit "Don't buy it". Someone's ALWAYS gotta say that.

We can still criticize a crappy "Bonus" version even if we intend NOT to buy it.

I don't want the thing (at that price) but there's no need for whining about it. SpiderMike got downrated by everyone who felt foolish for whining in the first place but he got an uprate from me at least. I think this collector set is too expensive too but that's no big deal. We gamers are a whiny, spoiled lot and we need to learn to shut up... which is what I'm going to do now.

Where's my cheap metal lunch box?

I bought a game I kinda knew I wouldn't like, because of a lunch box. The bobble head didn't make a good dash ornament, not without securing it somehow.

Yeah I can't believe they're doing a re-release of the old Commodore version either. I mean if you've seen the city's PK energy maxed to 9999 once, you've seen it a million times. Yawn, I'll pass.

God forbid you buy the $40 or $110 Wii version.

This set is a little expensive, but when you break it down it isn't outrageous. 60 for the game, 40 for the bust, 10 for the key chain, and 20 for the minimates. As someone who just happens to collect minimates, loves ghostbusters, and was going to buy the game anyway, I will certainly pick up this edition

Ok, how about 45$ for the bust and 5$ for the keychain, either way the keychain lights up and stuff which is probably 5 bucks, and you'd be hard pressed to find decent busts much cheaper than 45$ anyhow.

Look, it's your money but...$60 extra for the extra stuff? I mean, they are so cheap to make they are suckering you into spending $60. Again, it's your money and it's you decide what to do. This is just a friendly advice that you should get it from ebay or something. You can buy another game with that extra $60!

i happen to be a huge OCD collectors edition gamer. i'll buy a game on the 360 instead of the PC just for a collectors edition (batman arkham is the next one lol)

But this? excuse me? an extra $60 for pretty much nothing. not worth it

That and the PC port of the 360/ps3 version is only $30 so it's actually $90 extra for me lol.

Actually, the Slimer bust is a massive 10.5" tall, designed by Slimer's original sculptor from the Ghostbusters film, Steve Johnson.

There are larger images of him here:

That bust alone will probably run about $130 on Ebay once these sell out (limited to 6,500 items)

Thanks for the pics, I also thought it was a happy meal toy size, although I still question the design idea with slimer doing a weird handplant thing off the Ghostbusters sign. I'd rather have him just on a post holding a hotdog or twenty.

They look worse than the figurines you get with a Happy Meal! I can't believe they're charging an extra 70 bucks for that crap!

Heck, for the "regular" 60 bucks they're already overcharging the consumer.

This is a lot of money for a game that is highly anticipated. The standard $60 price tag is high enough (for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions) but $130 for the whole thing? I was duped into purchasing that Amazon edition of Fallout 3 and the Pip-Boy was nothing more than a plastic clock. A friend of mine purchased the plastic Gears Of War 2 lancer, I wouldn't have paid money for that either. Amazon has been bundling cheap plastic items in with games just so they can charge an extra $70-$100.

The Slimer "bust" does look interesting but, in the end, it is probably just going to be cheap plastic and look like a toy that you can purchase from Kmart.

If this was the only version available I could understand but it's an OPTIONAL edition.

Key word being optional.

Everybody moaning about having to pay $160 or whatever. My word its unheard of for a studio to try and garner the affections of the loyalist fan by releasing an overpriced bundle.

OUTRAGEOUS I TELLS YA!!!

Quit the whining guys. Looks and sounds pathetic. Ok you wont buy it. Nuff said. But quit the bitching. God!

Ghostbusters: "The Video Game"

Wow, what a totally unoriginal title there.

You mean it's a "Video Game" version of Ghostbusters? lol

And that slimer toy looks like something left over from Ghostbusters Happy Meals in the 80's.

That can't be good for Ghostusters' sales. =[

Play.com are doing a deal whereby you preorder the game and you can get Ghostbusters on Bluray for only £11.99.

http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/4026058/Ghostbusters-The-Video-Game/Product.html

So that's under £55 for some wicked goodness.

I LOVE the Ghostbusters but damn not all of us have that kind of money to burn these days. The game itself is enough for me. Maybe if they'd a coupon toward a free copy of the 25th anniversary of the film on either DVD or BluRay - then the price would be justifyiable
