Blu-ray releases for the week of April 19, 2009

With the Wolverine prequel launching in theaters on May 1, it sure is an opportune time to finally release the complete X-Men trilogy on Blu-ray -- thanks Fox! Sin City's been re-cut, re-packaged and re-released, as well. And a pair of critics picks, Frost/Nixon and The Wrestler, rounds out the highlights for the week in Blu-ray video releases:

The Wrestler is the only thing on this list worth buying...

X-Men is not worth buying?

X-men was worth watching not paying a whole ton of money to buy. Rent it on blu-ray to get that experience, but that's just me, I'm a little more money conscious than I used to be now that I'm a student deep in debt.

Is it the X-Men trilogy or the X-Man trilogy? Don't get me wrong Wolverine is da bomb, but geez, why is he twice as big as every other person on the cover???

Must be marketing for the Wolverine movie. Cha-ching! It's stupid because Rogue was the focus of the first movie, Wolverine was the focus of the second movie (they got that right), and Jean Grey was the focus of the third movie (even though she didn't really say or do that much). Hey, so if Jean Grey was the focus of the third movie, and she didn't actually do anything, wouldn't the third movie necessarily be terrible and the worst of the the three??? Yes self, it would be...

Because wolverine the the rorschach of xmen. People flock to him even when the writers admit there are more interesting characters because Wolverine kills alot of people and doesn't afraid of anything. (to paraphrase).

Personally I'll wait until Origins comes out. X3 was an abortion. Cyclops has more lines and more action in the prequel than he did in the latter two xmen movies combined.

Cyclops was a pu$$ at the end of part 2 and in all of part 3...totally worthless.

Whats the deal with the recut version of Sin City? Is it worth a rebuy?

I'm wondering the same thing. Is it the same as the recut/extended/unrated edition that I already have just in 1080p, or are there other extras in there?

I'd check out the Blu-ray reviews. It seems to me that it seems the same as the special edition dvd - the one with the slip cover.

I don't think there are enough cool stuff on Sundays lol. They did it like 3 times, with one of those times being posted on Monday.

There is enough...they add new trophies weekly...there are new BD movies weekly..PS Nation is weekly...there is plenty of it...

Why can't they have an "X-men the only two worth watching" Blu-ray pack?
