Okay, so our fully-functioning Pip-Boy is currently in development, and the iPhone version didn't exactly hit the spot. Thankfully, the BlackBerry skin is awfully close to fulfilling our Fallout dreams. Modder sadosdemetrios has created a functioning Pip-Boy homescreen for the Blackberry, available for free at Crackberry, in your choice of green or blue.
The modder is currently accepting donations for his hard work -- please donate generously! The closer we get to inventing the real Pip-Boy, the closer we are to nuclear annihilation. And then, like EA Sports, we'll be in the game.

Is there anything like this for the iPhone? I want to get one, and having it be pip-boy-esque would push it over the edge as a must buy.

From what I understand this is actually a take on an iPhone version, but the iPhone version is just a wallpaper-type thing and doesn't have any functionality.

If you have a hacked iphone there is a winterboard theme for iphone that is very slick, and not just wallpaper, it's usable, has animated scanlines, and pipboy icons:

Got it and it is amazing, although there are some pretty serious usability issues (difficult to see which item in the menu is selected among other things). For the work of one guy, I'm impressed! I truly feel like the greatest geek alive with my Pip-Boy 3000!
In one word: AWESOME!
More exclamation points!!!

Downloaded and installed. I love the look of it, but the functionality is a little lacking. It would definitely be better on something with a larger screen (Storm/G1/Touch Pro)

Ok, don't flame me. I downloaded and installed this theme and yes it is great for the first day of use. But for those who have played the game you have the advantage of using a analog stick to aim to the body part, not so in this version of the theme. It took me 30 min to break the habit of NO LEFT AND RIGHT movement with the track ball.
And coupled by the fact that you only have an up and down scroll option, you would think that top of the head would be #1 on the scroll numbering and then continue to forehead, left arm (Vault boy's left), right arm, hip and then leg. And that the bottom of the scroll is actually the hip makes it a little confusing when you try to scroll quickly.
But yes the images are great and the color scheme is spot on. The icons match and compliment the theme. However one note is that anything installed that is not in the phones default will not be in Pip theme, things like Gmail, Gmaps, Pandora etc.
I wish the locked background was an option for other screens like all programs and applications. This is a screen with the "Pip-Boy 3000".
One other thing. remember the order of your quick launch as my phone after installing the themes my phone restarted and "unhide" all my hidden icons and then defaulted to the main list of apps.
But congrats to coder for the theme.

Looks awesome on my old 8800. Retro and sleek (icons are definitely Bold-inspired, but it works) at the same time.
