Ready to go Monster Hunt-ing? An English language demo of the upcoming Monster Hunter Freedom Unite will be ready in June. The demo, which will be available on the PlayStation Store this June, will feature multiple missions that can be played alone, or with friends through Ad-Hoc multiplayer. The demo will begin with a higher level character, skilled with major weapon types, so you'll be able to get a taste of what the game is like when you're not a total n00b.
Monster Hunter is one of Japan's largest franchises, and has revived the PSP scene in Japan. We're not sure if Capcom will be able to recreate that success here in the States, but they're certainly going to try.

Does the full game feature infrastructure?
Seems so pointless to release games with multiplayer parties and make it Ad-hoc only.

I haven't played a Monster Hunter game. Is it actiony or is it FFXIIy? As in, is it all like, Devil May Cryish, or WoWish? Is it like, Gran Turismo?
No seriously though, is it an ARPG?

You're better off looking at some youtube videos to find out how the gameplay is. It's kind of hard to explain. Can't really remember a game that had similar gameplay.
But yes. It is an Action RPG.

It depends of the players skills really lol. There are "village elder" missions and "Guild " missions. Basically they are "Story mode" and "Free mode". The Village missions can be beat by your own with medium playing skills. The Guild missions are harder and they increase and increase in difficulty, they are mostly made to be beat by playing with others, but the most skillful players can beat them all by themselves.

As long as I don't have to preorder to gain access to it (too poor to get a credit card here in Manila), I'm just happy I can dust off my PSP to play something until I can afford R:R.

guess i'm one of the few people in NA who is actually interested in spending hours on this title. (i've been playing PS:P religiously for the past few weeks to get me ready) with this demo to hone my "skills" until the actual release date, i should be ready on launch day for sure. i just hope sony wises up and releases Ad-Hoc party for the other territories already (tired of attempting to read japanese then fail miserably when i exit through all the menus and slap myself for pressing X)
i'm loving my psp so far this year.
