This looks like the point for Atlus USA to step in.

Agreed. Considering Atlus published the 2 VanillaWare games for the PS2 (Odin Sphere & GrimGrimoire), I wouldn't be surprised if they were the new publisher.

I would also like to state that IGN said that the game is STILL coming to the US, just under a different publisher & that we'll hear from them soon (i.e possibly later this week).

What?! ='(

I was really looking forward for that game...

Well, I really they can publish it somehow...

And yes, Atlus USA would be great! =D

It would make sense, considering their run of games seems to be more Japanese in nature.

Wow, one game that actually would of made me considering getting a Wii, and it gets delayed like this. Odin Sphere was an amazingly deep and fun game, and still is. And with how they handled it, that game, I guarantee, will age amazingly well. If only you could get it in high def...

You took the words out of my mouth....was going to buy this game and borrow a friends Wii (I was thinking of buying one just for this game...but he suggested that I use his, cause no one else uses it), and now some bogus ass BS like this has to happen. Total weak sauce!!! I swear the gaming industry is semi-batshit-bonkers......on the account of folly like this.

"According to NintendoEverything, XSEED states it still believes in the game and "will look forward to seeing it release in North America" -- as long as it isn't released by them, apparently."

True, XSeed obviously thinks so, but if they are so confident, I don't see why they couldn't be bothered with releasing a game they should know be eaten up by fans of Odin Sphere. Hell, I forgave them for the cheapo nigh-invincible mosnters in the city simply because of how great it was.

Like I said, this game made me consider getting a Wii simply because I know just how amazingly well-done OS was. It looks better than some PS3 games simply because of the beautifully drawn sprites. It would of been a great compliment on the Wii considering its graphically inferior to the PS3 and 360. Something it really needs.

Son of a... why. Why. I haven't touched my Wii in months, and now this.

The waters of the Wii's blue ocean aren't too friendly to hardcore titles....Madworld, No More Heroes....they don't want their fingerprints on that one.....

W..wait, what?! What the hell, XSEED?! Major points lost, guys. Huge, HUGE points lost. For their sake they'd better hope -someone- picks this up, and quick.

Considering that Nintendo desperately wants to prove that hardcore games can work on the Wii, I would say they'll go to every publisher on Earth with huge sacks of money until one publishes it.

No big loss if it plays like Odin Sphere. That game is TERRIBLE.

I just emailed XSEED. Here is the address: comments@xseedgames.com
I pleaded with them to reconsider. I also threatened to buy used copies of their titles :)

Yo, this sucks.

At the same time, though, it only reinforces what I've been saying for months - that these recent sales numbers for core Nintendo titles are discouraging regardless of whether or not the original dev decides to claim that they met expectations.

IGN already has an article confirming someone else has picked it up.

"XSEED Loses Muramasa: The Demon Blade
The publisher confirms that the stylish 2D action game has been picked up by another publisher."

MMV should've done that co-publishing deal with Atlus U.S.A. instead; last I checked, the Luminous Arc series, Steal Princess, and Contact, to name a few, have been localized in the US by the latter.

I hope they're still bringing arc rise fantasia and little king story.

I still love them though, they did a great job in rune factory frontier, good VA (though no dual audio) and they left the original japanese intro there, plus all the funny parts of the the script was perfectly translated.
