American TV audiences know Stephen Fry as Dr. Gordon Wyatt on Bones. However, gamers are most familiar with Fry for his role as LittleBigPlanet's omnipotent narrator, his soothing voice carrying gamers through all of LBP's complex level-building tutorials. It looks like he's making a return to guide portable gamers, as his Twitter confirms his involvement in the upcoming PSP version of LittleBigPlanet.
A large majority of Fry's narration was featured exclusively in the PS3 game's "Create" mode. How much time Fry spent in the studio may give us some insight into how complex the creation tools will be in the PSP version. Quick, someone shoot him a tweet!

I wouldn’t say legend. Nobody outside the few who still cling to terrestrial know who he is. Or are you one of the people who subscribe to the viewpoint that once you’ve been on the BBC for a few years you automatically become a ‘national institution?’
If Fry is a legend then so is Jade Goody, Vernon Kay and the Polish guy who drove my taxi yesterday night. His name was Walt, the driver I mean.

But Jade Goody wasn't on several of the best British comedy shows for over a decade, nor does she now present QI.
Speaking of which, Americans who like Fry might want to watch that show, just type QI into youtube and you'll find episodes split into three parts.

I disagree, Hyams. I just showed Fry’s picture to a colleague and he replied ‘is that Hitchens drunk again?’

Anyone who starred in 'Blackadder' is a legend.

I first noticed him in V for Vendetta. Otherwise I would have thought that it was Jeremy Clarkson in the picture.

Forelli boy I'd get your frontal lobe checked out, it seems you have trouble distinguishing between a distinguished gent and Jeremy Clarkson.

I'm curious Bowser. By colleague, do you mean "guy you share a padded room with"?
Just a stab in the dark but it would explain so, so much.

Fry is definitely a legend in the UK. I love the guy, he's so funny and awesome. His voice is so stereotypically British too, which is awesome.

I cannot wait to see how expansive this game is. I have, unfortunately, not been able to invest in my PSP as much as I've wanted to, but thinking about LBP Portable, I'm giddy. I won't be able to take a crack at the console version until I pick up a PS3. Did I mention I love Stephen Fry's voice? Cause I do.

I have never wanted to murder anyone more than I did Reaver in that game.

Am I the only one who despised the narration in LBP? No knock against Mr. Fry, but the amount of saccharine "ooooh isn't this MAGICAL?" stuff was worse than 10 disney movies combined.

I know what you mean. And for that reason. I'm out.
Said Duncan Bannatyne. But I'm not really out, I just hope they omit it from this version.

Some of it was intended to be tongue-in-cheek, not saccharine. Very subtle differences in delivery, unfortunately for you, there was no /s tag during the commentary.

Sounds pretty sweet. So are they recording the same dialogue in more suitable format? Me thinks this just means the game has a little bit more up it's sleeve.
