We love how just a scrap of music can put you in the mood to play a game. Who can listen to the Oblivion or Halo themes and not get the itch to pick up a controller? We don't know, but they're stronger than us by far.
After 15 minutes of listening to the recently compiled Braid soundtrack, we're dying to take the game for another run, maybe even track down all those stars that we've been neglecting. Oh, and don't miss the two new remixed tunes, which take advantage of the game's time-twisting theme with hypnotic results.

Pretty cool - the music from Braid really set the tone for the game, and included some really beautiful pieces.

Yea the new Bionic Commando is an awesome soundstrack, very strong techno, heck I bought the album but never bought the game. I recommend you check it out if you haven't

This site is pretty cool... you can choose from a wide variety of formats to download the album in, no DRM, and you get to pick how much you want to pay for it (though there is a minimum of $5). It sounds like the artists get a lot of that money too...
I think all of that is definitely worth at least $5 to me.

Just so you know, the Braid music isn't original. It was licensed from magnatune.

Hmmm. This is tempting. Whenever i was first playing this game, it was funny how all of my roommates would congregate around the TV. Drawn by the music.

Braid (PC) stores its music files in an easily accessible, OGG format, so unless people feel the need to further reward the (admittedly great) artists for their work on this music, or they really want the remixes of these songs, they might as well just use the songs that are already on their PC.

Yeah, like FraGNeM says, I just copied all the ogg files over to my music collection from the steamapps folder and re-tagged them to be a compilation album. Xbox people can't do that of course, but anywho. On the other hand, I did just buy one of the Jami Sieber albums that two of the songs were off from that site, and it's nice enough (ie. really nice) that I'll probably pick up some more later on. It's good to get music from sites like this rather than iTunes, the artists are more likely to get a bigger cut of the cash (in this case, the site claims 50%).

I agree the music in Braid was definitely one of the major components of the game.
Loved the whole thing, but I really did need to cheat on one part, I felt so bad about my self-esteem of being a gamer =(
But anyways, did anyone manage to get the "Time Trial" achievement? I know I can beat the game now that I played it, but DEFINITELY not against the clock. I just want to see how many amazing Braid-ers are out there.

It doesn't seem like it'd be that hard. Once you've figured out all the puzzles it's just a matter of going through the motions quick enough.
Of course I still have yet to try it myself.

Is this available on itunes? I hate when I have to use some small time or new site to get a game soundtrack I like. The less new pass words and credit card number inputs the better. I really want the elder scrolls morrowind and oblivion soundtracks but I do not want to have to give out my info to some new site when it should just be on itunes. Also I do not pirate music so that does not present itself as an option

You don't have to sign up for an account to buy, and you can set how much you want to pay for it - as low as $5. You can find most of the music on the soundtrack on iTunes and buy the tracks individually if you want, though.

Dude, this has been on Braid's official blog for eons... and I think I know that from Joystiq in the first place.
