Electronic Arts has announced that its forthcoming, hellish action romp, Dante's Inferno, will be heating up the PSP in 2010. The portable version will ship alongside those previously announced for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with Wet developer A2M working with EA Redwood Shores to translate the game's nine circles of hell onto the small screen.
Even with this news, details remain scant on the project. Still, given the game's purported God of War-style gameplay, we have high hopes that Dante will be able to follow in the Ghost of Sparta's miniaturized footsteps when Dante's Inferno ships for the PSP next year.

There have been some major cool PSP announcements so far this year. Just goes to show that the PSP still has a lot of life in it yet. Also makes me think that if this has been announced for the PSP for 2010, then if there is another PSP released for christmas, it is going to be a revision of the PSP, and not a PSP2. Just a thought

I own a PSP but I haven't really touched it in months. The last great game I played was God of War and despite the short length it was amazing. The crazy list of games I would have never thought would hit the PSP is due this year and I'm very grateful for that!

Capcom makes Devil May Cry, a game loosely based on Dante's Inferno. Sony makes God of War, a game loosely based on Greek mythology and everyone says it plays like Devil May Cry. EA makes a game loosely based on Dante's Inferno and everyone says it's going to have God of War gameplay. If Capcom makes a game loosely based on Greek mythology that plays like Dante's Inferno, we will have come full circle.

Sounds great! I'll be buying it for PS3 and PSP, just as I'll be buying Silent Hill on both Wii and PSP. I always like to play games more than once, but sometimes I can't find the time to sit down and do it. This way I can take my 2nd playthrough on the road with me... or, you know, to work with me. Lots of time to play there...

I thought Inferno would be out this winter, though. 2010? :(
Oh well, GOWIII should be out this year, and that'll satisfy my visceral, bloody combat urges for a few months...

I hope I don't get burned by this game. I love the original story, but it sounds like they're going to take a more liberal approach to the source material. Which, is actually okay now that I think of it more. If it was actually like the book the game would be like a dating sim.
No one should sulfur through that.

Hell Yeah!!! (Sorry, I just couldn't resist that terrrible pun)
This is good news, EA is really showing the PSP some major game support with this and the Army of Two sequel.

Well EA has been a big Sony supporter since the PS2 came out and its no surprise that they're dishing out their new content across the board. Maybe EA's supports of the PSP will help re-increase sales and convince other devs to re-enter the PSP business.

@ Back mage
I don't want devs "Re-enter" the PSP, I want the ps2 and PSP to die off,
then Sony can put full support Into ps3, Instead of trying to manage 3 consoles on the market.
All I care about Is new PSN features( cross-game invites) and new ps3 exclusives.
