Though we've known about Lego Rock Band -- more or less, that is -- since early this year, an Xbox.com listing for the game has revealed a few more tidbits to satiate our non-stop hunger for more info on the title. For starters, the game's progression has been revealed as incorporating the Lego theme with collectible Lego pieces that will allow you to, "build cooler vehicles and move to new venues." Furthermore, an extra easy (totally for babies) difficult setting has been added to the game for the ... ahem ... less than face-meltingly-advanced Rock Band-ers in our lives.
To add even more Lego flavor to the mix, the game will feature challenges that allow you to "destroy a giant robot, summon a storm, and demolish a skyscraper." One important bullet-point glaringly missing from all news on the game (and its Beatles-themed brethren, for that matter) is the ability to export the songs into Rock Band 2, a la Rock Band 1's tracks. We've put in a note to publisher MTV Games for clarification on this and will keep you updated if and when we hear more info.

lol, I think the kick pedal will break within the first 10minutes.. ya know... being made of lego :P
A lego guitar would be sick, but I can just imagine a drum kit exploding like an enemy in one of those lego games... actually, that should be enough entertainment right there!

I expect the same amount of "Harmonix is running this franchise into the ground!" like you people do with Guitar Hero.
Chop chop.

Rock Band for kids makes more sense than Guitar Hero for die hard fans of Van Halen.

If the Rock Band games had the same incompatibility issues that the GH series does as far as setlists across the (many) games are concerned, you might have an argument. However, nearly every RB song released so far can be played on the RB2 platform. No paying 60 bucks for new songs every 6 months that you can't play on any other games like in the GH series. Plus the RB series is light years ahead in the DLC department. This may change in the future, but we have no way of knowing that yet. In the mean time, enjoy switching all those discs :)

Switching discs is nothing to me,it takes 4 seconds,it's never even been an issue at any point. Guitar Hero is just more content to me (by the way Metallica edition kicks major ass).
You people though,that's another story. You seem to think Rock Band is a "party game" and that switching discs is a torture experience.

Sounds like EBA/Ouendan to me, not that that's a bad thing.

I have no idea what this mess is. I only care if it has songs that go into RB2. That's my platform and that's the hardware I have.

What if it comes with a guitar that you build yourself? Like a lego set? And the alternative build would be a helicopter or something. People could get creative....

@skambu
you obviously have never played a band game. Do you realize that the transition from GH to RB in terms of the scrolling style was reason enough for people not to like one or another?? That may seem extremely simple, but when that piece is the second most important aspect of the ENTIRE game (the music being the most important), a simple change to the lego style (which btw is the HALLMARK OF ALL LEGO GAMES YOU FUCKING IDIOT), many people will be frustrated all over again.

Looks like I was right about the White Stripes...glad I didn't have to wait very long to see if I was. I'd love to see entire White Stripes albums but I'll take what I can get.
