Actually, the line was "Genesis does what Nintendon't."

It was a campaign to show how much more powerful the Genesis was than the 8-bit generation, but they didn't bother mentioning that it also made their Master System look pathetically underpowered.

What a compelling argument you have put forth, citing references and giving examples!

Ohwait. Must mean that you're an idiot who doesn't know how to prove your point (which you can't do because it's wrong) and you're hoping that I'm just blowing smoke.

Now, you might be right about Sega being the first CONSOLE to go online, I don't know when Nintendo/Sega's online services started in Japan beyond the general era (SNES/Genesis), but the first to do online gaming? LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL CONSOLE INNOVATION LOLOLOLOLOLOL ZOMG HALO IS AWESOME LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Sony killed the Dreamcast with their lies about the PS2's capabilities. I worked at Electronics Boutique from 1999 until about 3 months after PS2 launch. Dreamcast did very well at first and Sony got scared. This is when the famous Sony Hype Machine got started. Saying how the PS2 would make the Dreamcast look like Pong, that no one was making games for Dreamcast, paying EA to not put sports games on it, lots of shady stuff. Its a shame. Everyone that HAD a Dreamcast LOVED it. I loved mine, thats for sure.

MS should try and do Dreamcast emulation on the 360. Sell it on XBLM for like $10, and make it work well... boom, instant sales in Japan I'd bet you. I'm surprised that they didn't do it already, what with Peter Moore being in charge of Dreamcast stuff before going to MSFT.

I've still got a dreamcast and an old VMU of mine working at home. The dreamcast is actually only like 4-5 years old, due to when I moved while owning my dreamcast the movers took it, along with my copies of Marvel vs Capcom 2, Worms Armegeddon and more >_

God damnit, I just bought a used Dreamcast last week.
It was much cheaper, but it only plays 3 of the 6 games I bought.
I've tried fixing it, but nothing's worked yet.

Actually...it was Genesis does what Nintendon't. lol.
Then Nitwitendo came back with 'Nintendo is what Genesis isn't. Lame.

Genesis > SNES

Hydro Thunder is still one of the best racing games ever, and definitely the best water racing game. Cant wait for H2Overdrive!

Except for Super Mario World, Final Fantasy VI, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Yoshi's Island, Mario Paint, Tetris Attack, and the fact that multiplatform games all had awful sound on the Genesis version, you may be right. [/sarcasm]

That's not to say I didn't like the Genesis. It did have a few good exclusives, namely the Sonic games, Comix Zone, and Toe Jam & Earl 2.

Sweet, mine just recently went all-funk-o. Finished RE 5 and was wanting to play RE: Code Veronica again. Started gaming in '76 and have owned close to every console good and bad and the Dreamcast is up there as one of the best. Never did finish D2, hope they get some more.

Are the retailers such as GameStop, Best Buy, EB Games, etc, going to sell DreamCast systems? Or is it only online retailers ?

Dreamcast is awesome of course but who can beat the awesome screen shattering graphics of the original pong w/ high tech 2 tone definition of blazing black and white and 2 distinct sounds! Seriously though it's amazing how quickly games have advanced in such a brief period. With all these advances, soon when your character is killed, you'll die too.

Best place to buy any old game or system in New England is Video Game Exchange in Plaistow NH... They have everything if they don't have it they can get it.

Might be my favorite system ever, and I miss those days dearly. Sadly, over 90% of the games worth playing on it were ported to other systems anyway. Still, I fondly remember the days of Sonic Adventure, Phantasy Star Online, and Grandia II...
