I can't decide whether to be excited or to blow this off. I have not been back to Fable 2 since I finished Knothole island a few days after it was released. For 7 bucks though it is mighty enticing. Maybe I will start a new adventure with a new hero. I do have cheevos left to get, so maybe I will start up again. Man, I am gonna get some much coin the next time I start the game up. wow. I hope it comes the second half of the month so I have some quality time with Fallout first.

Knothole Island added a good amount of stuff, but as with most DLC like it, it was just too expensive. I'm glad they decided to make this one only 500. Achievements make it sound like they'll be some pretty interesting things to do now too.

" "The Paramour: Make love 25 times" and "The Nutcracker: Score 25 groin shots" "

Two birds in one stone?

$7 is a strange pricepoint for DLC. Maybe they are making up for Knothole Glade; which, while very fun, should have been $5 instead of $10.

Any estimate when they'll pull their heads from their asses and release it on PC? Why would they not want more money?

The first game sold poorly on the PC and rampant piracy only hurt the sales of the Xbox version. I frankly don't see why they'd bother again.

But if they do, I imagine it'll be after they release all this DLC so they can just release it as one big GoTY pack.

I'm sure the fact it was a 3 year old game when it came to PC didn't hurt sales at all.

What they should do is charge $10 and you get BOTH DLC packs. I didn't bother with the first one after I finished Fable 2 and got all the achievements from it. I sold my game but kept it saved on my XBOX 360 as I can borrow a relative's copy if I wanted to play it, but I had heard such disappointing things over the first DLC, I lost interest. How many hours was the first DLC and how many hours will this new one be?

The first pack was actually pretty cool, it added in a lot of pretty awesome new items/equipment and lasted 2-3 hours. This new pack is expected to be about the same size, but is half the price, probably due to the amount of complaints.

The Saints Row 2 content that went up today has exactly the same problem.. The content itself is good, but not really worth the 800 points, like-wise for Fallouts Operation Anchorage. Content like this should be 500 points!

Way to go lionhead, you're finally adding in achievements that should of been in the game when it came out.

How do you figure? It's not like it didn't have a full 1000 GP at launch.

actually it didnt have a full 1000 at launch, the achievement "The Completionist" required some items and expressions you could only get with Pub Games, I think they're fixing that with this patch though

What I meant was achievements like the demon door and nutshot, there was no reason those couldn't, and in terms of the demon doors, shouldn't of been in at launch.
Same goes with the making love and score this many points in coliseum.

Hmm, the Colosseum achievements are interesting, considering how this pack is said to talk about the ties of your character and the Fable 1 guy, and how important the Arena was to him, I wonder if it's the same one?

I never liked those "or see another Hero do so" little conditions added at the end of the achievements. That's downright cheatin' in my opinion. You can't claim to achieve something from just watching someone else do it. According to this logic, I've had many a conversation with celebrities and interesting personalities vicariously through Stephen Colbert!

But I do see how this is useful to achievement whores.

I'm all for new Fable 2 content. I had stopped playing the game a while ago and recently picked it up again. Just got back from the Spire. Stuff gets interesting. ;)

Thanks for the info. I will admit I glitched the pub games before Fable 2 came out and then played the game and found that by glitching and starting with a million gold took some fun out of the game. I believe I get gold while I am logged off and since I haven't played in months, I probably have a fortune. Point wise, I have a ton, so I 800 points is nothing really, just not sure if I want to go down the Fable 2 road again and get sucked in. I do want to play Fallout 3, just haven't had much time to think about that game.

It's nice that they can use their DLC achievement allowance to add achievements that can be completed in the main game. I hope this means an end to lame and uninspired map-pack specific cheevos.
