PopCap adds Peggle to WoW, apocalypse imminent

Sweet, merciful crap -- the end of the world is imminent. Imminent, we say. WoW Insider reports that PopCap has released the official Peggle add-on for World of Warcraft. The add-on can be used to duel other WoW players and can even be used to decide who gets loot drops. That's right, World of Warcraft and Peggle, two great tastes that taste completely self-destructive together.

Every time you sink a ball in Tiger '10, it cuts to a Peggle mini game and every so many points you get, it lowers your stroke count by 1.

You get that idea for free Peter.

I've always figured that WoW would have a role in our imminent demise...

Blizzard + Popcap = The extinction of the human race, and possibly all of the primates, should they also develop computer literacy.

Other animals would be fine though, due to a lack of opposable thumbs or not being heavy enough to press the keys, like a finch.

Are you saying that everytime a species evolves opposable thumbs, it will dig up the ancient copies of WoW left behind by us and wipe itself out?

History tends to repeat itself. Extraterrestrial civilizations could stumble upon the remains of our own, unearth copies of WoW, get the internet up and running again and then follow the same path to oblivion.

Once a few civilizations fall, an intergalactic council would destroy all that remained of Blizzard's and Popcap's legacies only for them to show up on The Pirate Bay.

As if WoW wasn't addictive enough already!

Who the hell would pay a monthly fee to play a game that has to add extra popcap junk to keep it interesting? 8 or so million other folks, apparently! Why not just expand the WoW universe by making a more complicated and engaging experience? Like Ultima Online or Eve managed to do. Wow is honestly a kind of peggle in its own right, when compared to those too monstrous accomplishments. Too bad EA bungled up all hopes for a good sequel to UO. My life will never be complete. I suppose only people who really got to play UO in the 90s will understand. SOOO much to do. Essentially every item was able to be player made. You needed something, you go in to town and find someone who's in the trade. It was just a damn good game. None of this instanced junk either.

When we need to start playing games to entertain us while we game, it's time to turn the damn computer off and go outside and run around in a field or something. Enjoy life. Maybe play a portable console like the DS or the PSP. No....wait....

are you on crack? I understand you may not like WoW, neither do I, I used to play it when the level cap was 60 aka when the game was actually worth the hype. As disgusted as I am with what WoW turned into, saying something completely foolish like UO or Eve being more complete than WoW is just.........dumb
