A rumor posted over at Destructoid points to a new Clone Wars game in the works for Xbox 360 and PS3. Titled Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, the game is described as a third-person action title featuring two-player co-op, with separate "Jedi" and "Clone" storylines featuring Anakin Skywalker and Jedi Padawan Ahsoka Tano, respectively.
The game's focus is supposedly on melee combat, with mention of some form of upgrades available throughout the game. Jedi characters will purportedly have some access to Force powers (gasp!), such as the ability to control droids (Dtoid's post mentions rolling Droideka).
Krome Studios has had plenty of experience with the Star Wars franchise. The company handled porting Star Wars: The Force Unleashed to the Wii, PS2, and PSP, and was responsible for the Wii-exclusive Star Wars The Clone Wars: Lightsaber Duels. Let's hope the third time's the charm here.

They did. They made bounty hunter, a game where you played as Jango, years ago. I had it for the GameCube. It was alright, but honestly not great

A clone wars era empire at war is what is needed.

What i meant was a game similar to empire at war only based in the clone wars, it could be called Rebulic at war, or Galaxy at war. The two teams will of course be the Republic and the CIS and maybe a third team, pirates. It could feature more planets, larger maps, space battles taking place on the hyperspace lanes between planets.

A Clone Wars (Battlegrounds Saga) and normal Star Wars saga already exists within the Star Wars Universe of Games, and while it wasn't AWFUL, it wasn't very good either.
Empire at War was a total failure in regards to their potential and the high hopes most had for them, so going back into the same engine and style of that, is not what I support.

Mega Star Wars fan here. Hated the Clone Wars movie...
But a co-op Star Wars game? Day one purchase. Hopefully they can improve the story a bit. That's what I really didn't like about the movie.

Why can't they tap into the post Episode 6 timeline?
Luke Skywalker attempting to put together a new Jedi academy, becoming a servant of the resurrected Palpatine, training the Solo kids and Kyle Katarn, the freakin Yuuzhan Vong war (!), fighting Lumiya, and getting jiggy with Mara Jade!
