What I used to do on COH was add noobs to my party and then teleport them off of a tall building into a mob of enemies and watch them die.

My name was The Jerkoff
I look forward to resurrecting him.

Jackasses like you shouldn't be allowed to play MMOs.

Also, why's the last 3 minutes of that second trailer the same still image?

Because it's not supposed to be longer than a minute or so.

Oh god yes it can't come too soon...
I finally got bored of CoH, so this will be my refresher.

I don't think its fair to call Jack Emmert the "team" that created COH. All of the COH staff stayed with NCSoft when they bought the property from Cryptic with the exception of a few staf. Emmert was the lead dev, and he stayed at Cryptic, but considering COH has seen more enhancements since NC took over and more features added that Emmert said were impossible, I'm glad he's gone.

However, I'll still check this out.

I was about to post something really similar. That guy was kind of a totalitarian wiener. Remember when they brought in Zeb Cook and he left almost immediately after Villains launched because "somebody" was having "creative differences" with him?

He was holding off on features saying they were impossible because he knew he was going to be working on its competitor and didn't want to give CoH any more good stuff.

I will be surprised if he is able to keep his ego in check to work within a game system who's mechanics are already defined.

CoH got SO much better when he left. Positron is great.

im not gonna lie here... this game looks bad...

the customization you can do doesn't even seem as good as CoH's and CoV's, and the combat looks staler. Look at them fight, they don't even move really, it's like watching ryu and ken have a hadouken shooting contest (aka its like watching two "pros" fight at street fighter 4)

The trailers look cool, but the demo that I played of the game was actually really boring. The combat was really repetitive, and the superhero (which I did not get to create) was pretty bland. It might be better when I design my own superhero and nemesis, and the fact that I didn't get to play in a city probably also added to my dislike of the action (I was in a canyon/desert type area).
