There's no reason to assume it's not the same as the US, as per usual.

It's been a month and a half and XBLA STILL doesn't have Wallace and Gromit.

I'm feeling a murderous rampage coming on.

Word. I'll buy anything passable at $10, but a game has to *earn* a purchase at $15.

Also agree.

400 I expect a game to be good. 800 I expect a game to be great. 1200 I expect a game to come with an orgasm.

Brad, If you like homing missles and agile mechs, you may want to where a condom while playing.

Played the demo.

Orgasmic it was not.

Clunky controls. Awful graphics. AI spamming moves over and over again.

No thanks.

I liked it better when they had little Dreamcasts on their backs.

A couple screens show they still do (one of Dordray in particular). Those additions were mostly removed for the Marz release.

Not for 1200 points.

And for those of you who DO buy this at 1200 points need to realize that MS is testing us, to try and make 1200 the normal price for future XBLA games.

If you buy this, expect even the worse games to be 1200 points, in the future. You can go ahead and kiss the 400 or 800 price point, goodbye, for good. And in this economy, that would be a stupid idea.

You have been warned.

1200 has always been the norm for bigger games. There's just been a lot more of them released since the file size cap was removed.

So is this a fresh game or a remake of Virtual On 2?

Either way, loved Virtual On :) one of those gems in a shit-filled sea of mech games.

Remake of Virtual On 2, nice.

Only ever played the first Virtual On back on the Saturn, so definitely picking this up.

i agree with the naysayers of the 1200 pts cost; it's 15.00 for a port?? crap i can afford it but why should i pay that for a port? i have A LOT of XBLA games & gladly paid for the CC, Braid & others... but XBOX is testing to the waters for the pricing. 400 pts used to give you decent ports or games classics... now it's more & not even great games for the hefty prices. to the point i didn't even get the demo for Lode Runner. like Lumines debate...well that's my 2 cents in the matter.

$15 feels like a steal for a game with the entertainment value this offers, if you ask me--I predict enjoying it more than some of the $60 purchases I'd made for the 360.

Sure, I could play it on the Dreamcast, or I could play the original on the Saturn or the PC, I could suffer through the PS2 attempt that was Marz, or I could take all my little eBay'd models and poke them at each other--but compared to the options I have, short of owning one of the actual arcade cabinets, the XBLA iteration is the best thing to happen to the series in a while, with what promises to be a nicer control setup for those without twinsticks than previous games in the series. Not to mention the Live connection and the extra little features are a nice boost over just pulling out the Dreamcast.

It's not necessarily a hefty, time-consuming game (though Live play may end up addictive) but it's an excellent one, as I tell a lot of my friends, it's the "Greatest Series They've Never Played". For the average gamer that doesn't get into it the price is steep, but for a lot of the diehards I can only imagine the price is well-justified.

Forking MS, I'm tired of this crap. If you're gonna charge me 1200 points at a time, just make em all 1200 and get it over with already. Cheese and rice it's like being raped and having a finger up your ass when you KNOW what's coming next. Just do it already and get it over with so I'll buy even less games. Good job!
