PS3 is a sexy piece of tech. Its library of games, from Killzone 2 to Metal Gear Solid 4, appeal to the hardcore gamer ... but what about kids? PS3 is still in its infancy, so it's unsurprising that it's failed to catch the attention of children and family gamers. That might change soon though, as Sony is finally conducting focus groups in Japan catered to the younger audience.
Siliconera reports that Sony is looking for participants as young as elementary school students to take part in a testing session at Sony's Tokyo offices. These individuals will give their opinions on upcoming PSP and PS3 games. Half-day participants will get 2500 yen compensation (about $25), while full day participants get 5000 yen and a free lunch. Imagine that! A job that pays you for playing PlayStation games.

"Yea" I say. :P
I'd love to have a decent new Ape Escape game along with Jak, Daxter, and Sly Cooper in HD while they're at it.

Hints at a future price drop? Parents never buy $400 consoles for their kids...

They can easily make a Silent Hill game suitable for children, simply by taking away the monsters, the weapons, the dark and dense story, the blasphemies... oh and the nightmare version of silent hill

They should do an Ape Escape 3 for the ps3. I mean the original one for the psone was the bomb. Geez I gotta play it again someday...some games never grow old...they're just like Peter Pan!!!....without the obvious conotations to Michael Jackson and all that Neverland business.
And now for something completely different.
Jak and Daxter is coming for the PS2. I saw it in gametrailers a while ago. It's called The Last Frontier. But, I would've prefered a new version for the PS3. That would've moved some console sales, but you know, there's a bigger install base in the PS2, and Naughty Dog seems to prefer letting its old franchise end in the glorious PS2.

There's been an Ape Escape 3, it was on the PS2. Only one i've ever played was the first one, which I rented as a kid - I thought it was awesome. Would love to see a fourth one for the PS3.
Also, the Jak and Daxter game isn't being done by Naughty Dog, it's some other group. Shame really, I loved the trilogy and I'm not expecting this one to be so great. Like everyone else, I'd love to see a PS3 version by Naughty Dog.

I really didn't knew there was an Ape Escape 3 for the ps2. I thought itwas Ape Escape 2. Oops!.
And I too didn't knew it wasn't Naughty Dog developing the next Jak game. That's a bit of a letdown as well I have to admit. However, it the company behind the next enrty is the one who made the Daxter game for the psp, then I might not be so worried. But you're right, lets hope that at least becomes as good as the Jak games, and if it sells well, then Naughty Dog might wake up again, however, I sure hope that ND haven't sold the rights for the game yet.
