We're of two minds about the intro sequence to the 360, PS3 and PC version of Ghostbusters: The Video Game, available after the break. On the one hand, it is a definite mistake to be interested in licensed movie games based on how closely they resemble the movies, rather than on their own merits as games.
But on the other hand, wow, that is totally Ghostbusters. From the awkward mundanity of the self-produced advertising, to the Gozer/Shandor references, to the off-screen museum scare, this intro just gets it right. There's something weird, and it does look good. Good thing the game itself looks like a winner as well.
I totally got the shivers watching that. I haven't felt that way about a game in a long time. I think I'll try to avoid any further information about it, as I want to be able to just experience it fresh when it finally drops.
it doesn't have co-op. offline anyway. MP doesn't count to me because well i don't play it enough lol....but this game begs 4 player co-op with a friend and not just online through matches etc.
I tend to not preorder games until reviews are out but for this one I'll make an exception. If it sucks then I'll just put it on craigslist for 15 cheaper.
