Upcoming PAIN expansion features wedgies, aliens and Trophies

Looks like PSN's #1 game of 2008 is getting yet another expansion. The next expansion, "Sore Spots," will add two environments: the Morningwood High School gymnasium and the alien-infested Area 69. The expansions will also introduce a few new modes, such as the "Fun With Explosives" inspired "PAIN Science" mode.

The official PAIN blog features more details on the upcoming expansion, but we've taken a peek at the new Trophies for the upcoming expansion. To see Idol Minds' devilish new achievements, check past the break.

Gold Trophy
	Sore Spotting Find and hit the alien artifact in both PAIN Reunion and Sports Day and the sports trophy in both PROBE and Afterglow
Silver Trophies
	Secret Santa Open all the unlocked lockers in PAIN Reunion using Santa
	Handy-Capped Complete Mad Science! PAINful without grabbing
Bronze Trophies
	Lo Touch Grab teleporting Hung Lo in PAIN Reunion
	Everyone's a Winner Get a negative distance on the Anvil Toss in PAINalympics
	It's Full of Cars Send the black sedan through the portal in PROBE

Great (!) more impossible trophies that require you to buy thre expansion pack. Im serious, there are only like...3 trophies in pain that can be got without spending any money. When Idol Minds stop being such Money Grabbing bastards ill start to take notice to Pain.

Or you could just not worry about being a trophy whore.

are people really buying dlc for pain? its great if the game is populuar, but i havnt played this in ages., it is a fun game, but like rag doll kung fu has no online multiplayer,. and that is not good enough in 2009...

The original games modes ARE online now, through a free patch. The new modes also have online when you buy them.

That mascot is priceless. Especially those "tan" lines around here eyes.

I believe that the Fortress mode has online multiplayer.

Pain is one of only two ps3 purchases I have regretted (the other being star wars: the force unleashed). It was fun for like 10 minutes and then i had no incentive to ever touch it again.

Indeed PAIN & SW TFU are terrible. but tbh I hate downloadable games like PAIN anyways. Almost every downloadable i've bought on XBLA & PSN feel like a waste if time & money. Sure there are many exceptions, but online store games & I have never clicked. I could seriously be a hardcore gamer &'ve been happy not touching a single downloadable game in my life.

Maybe you've just tried the wrong games games. There are games who spend more time some months playing PSN/XBLA games than full retail games.

On the PSN alone, there are the PixelJunk games, Flower, PuzzleQuest, Penny Arcade, Age of Booty, Echochrome, The Last Guy, Mega Man 9, Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty and Siren: Blood Curse. That's quite a varied set and sure to have something you might find interesting.

I think that XBLA actually has even more great games. Quite frankly, it seems that by dismissing this entire class of games, you're really missing out on some of the most interesting and fun content released this generation.

These Trophies don't sound TOO hard. Hopefully these Trophies aren't as hard as the original Trophies!

heres an idea...makes the other impossible ass trophies easier to get...i havent been this pissed at a game since mike tysons punch out

Bought Pain on a whim about a year ago. Game is the epitome of being nickel and dimed to death.
