Mr. T and Will Wright team up against Nazis in ZootFly game
Seriously, guys and gals: Brace your asses for this one. ZootFly (which made its name with a now-halted Ghostbusters project) is making a game based on tough-talking, chain-wearing icon Mr.T.
But that's not even the good part. Here are some actual words from the actual press release we got, with liberal underlining and bolding: "The first game will see Mr. T take on Nazis and their gigantic machines in the varied universe of South American rain forests, lost ancient cities, industrial complexes and contemporary military installations. Along with Mr. T and other characters from the graphic novel, the game will feature none other than Will Wright. In this universe, Will Wright is not a top-notch game designer but a top-notch American geneticist who was kidnapped and coerced to work on a diabolic plan. Mr. T and Will Wright will join forces to annihilate the Nazis and their hardware."
We think we speak for the entire internet when we say nothing, and urinate on ourselves.

What, is it April fools again?
Comtar @ Apr 27th 2009 1:47PM
I said it once, and I'll say it again.
This past April Fools Day sucked...
The articles were uninspired. Even IGN who made the awesome Zelda Trailer last year, follows it up with Resident Evil 5 Muppet Edition? No thanks. Should have followed up with a second trailer. Many movies have two or three trailers before release. Coulda kept that joke going for another year or two.
Only April Fool article that even got me to chuckle a bit was the Umbrella Corporation asking for a Government Bailout.
All these articles that have come out since April Fools, that are true, like this one... And the article about Judge Mathis getting a game that has anal jail butt rape... need to inspire 2010's April Fools Day articles.
I'll even help, how about a Stephen Colbert News Game? Seriously, get the guys who did the Harvey Birdman game and the American Translation to the Phoenix Wright series, and change the format to a law office to a newsroom. Make it more a point and click adventure where you search for important news tidbits around the office to expose massive government conspiracies... Like finding all the tubes that make up the internet.

I wish this news hit on April Fools. Then we could say "I pity da April Foo' who thinks this be real."

Attention every developer:
It's over. The greatest game of all time is being created.

Definite GOTYEYSTDOT*.

Anticrawl @ Apr 27th 2009 2:00PM
Yep, 3DRealms might as well give up on Duke Nukem Forever. Game over man, game over!
Duke @ Apr 27th 2009 2:40PM
Yeah, this is something that the world has needed for a very long time. Mr. T + killing nazi's is just brilliant.
Manly Mcbeefigan (Mr. ESC) @ Apr 27th 2009 3:10PM
I wonder how they came up with this ..
"Okay guys we need something super awesome for our new game"
“What about this you play as a futuristic robot that goes back in to the past for unknown reasons and becomes a professorships best friend is a talking cake!”
“Nah too dry and the cake is a lie”.
“I have something: Mr T Killing Zombies that are using Mechas”.
*Silence
“BRILLIANT!”
Andrew Ryan @ Apr 27th 2009 4:44PM
Actually Sir Buzz, GOTYSTDOT= Game of the year since the dawn of T. :D
j.howlett @ Apr 27th 2009 1:40PM

rickjamess04 @ Apr 27th 2009 5:34PM
I can dig it too as long as the plot involves Mr. T rescuing kids at the local community center.
JuanDHexen @ Apr 27th 2009 1:40PM
So any one can have a video game these days...well I guess there's hope for a Al Bundy game then.
NaeemTHM @ Apr 27th 2009 1:49PM
NO MA'AM: The Game
As Al Buddy you cross the nation putting bitches and fat chicks in there places. Here classic lines like:
"Oh. life is good! But not for me ..."
"Let me explain. It's just like an elevator. There's a 2 ton weight limit on these shoes ."
"It must be your mother. Tell her I said 'oink'."
"If God had wanted women to play ball, he would've made them men."
JuanDHexen @ Apr 27th 2009 1:54PM
XD...That's actually pretty good that would be a day one purchase for sure.
mahouneko @ Apr 27th 2009 1:56PM
I think you meant Al Bundy.
Troy Powers (PSN: TroyPowers) @ Apr 27th 2009 2:03PM
No, no, I think he meant AL Bundy. You have to stress the "L"
Anticrawl @ Apr 27th 2009 2:03PM
Al Bundy is the only man to have ever pulled off hating women while still coming off as a heterosexual. And for that, he is a true American hero.
Hell the only reason I originally started watching Futurama is because Leela's voice brought on fond memories of Married with Children, but obviously I learned ot love Futurama for it's own merits, like the professor and his, "Well I am already in my pajamas" attitude.
Saria the Cat @ Apr 27th 2009 2:05PM
I don't think it will come as a surprise when I say I hated that show and didn't find any of it funny.
Saria the Cat @ Apr 27th 2009 2:07PM
Oh, and by that show, I meant Married with Children, not Futurama. Just to be crystal clear. :)
JuanDHexen @ Apr 27th 2009 2:12PM
@Saria the Cat
I honestly didn't think anyone hated married with children so I am stunned. It wasn't like the other goody Goody Tushu shows everyone there basically gave each other the middle finger..well I guess mostly males like it.
Saria the Cat @ Apr 27th 2009 2:18PM
@JuanDHexen: It actually scares me to read about men enjoying Al Bundy's jokes. I was never convinced of the joking nature of the sexism. The fact that it was mostly about a family being mean to each other was probably another reason I didn't like it. :P I'm not a goody two shoes but I find other shows to be way funnier.
JuanDHexen @ Apr 27th 2009 2:30PM
@Saria the Cat
You could have also said you were a feminist and be done with it and that would explain why you hated the show:)
Saria the Cat @ Apr 27th 2009 2:34PM
@Juan: I'd like to think most of us are feminists (people who believe men and women should have equal rights) these days. Too bad the term carries with it negative connotations. ;)
I don't think a woman needs the feminist label to find Married with Children in bad taste, anyway.
Anticrawl @ Apr 27th 2009 2:35PM
@Saria the Cat
Well the sexism went both ways in Married with Children. If anything the men were far more abused. I was only kidding with my comment obviously. I found both sides funny, Bundy unhappy in his marriage and getting into all sorts of shenanigans proving he was a moron and Peggy being the lazy ass she was but poking fun at her husband’s dead-end job and lack of sexual performance. The shots Bundy and Marcy pulled at one another constantly were hilarious too. I think the show was classic, and an important piece of pop culture that reflected our societies sway away from marriage being defined socially as an institution.
But that's just my opinion, not many sitcoms around that time period were worth watching and only few delivered the "lulz” I sought.
Mr Khan @ Apr 27th 2009 2:39PM
The problem with Married with Children was that they basically had neon flashing signs saying "THIS IS THE JOKE, THIS IS THE FUNNY PART, LAUGH NOW PLZ!" The jokes were painfully obvious
The humor i found in it was mostly the same kind of depression humor that Peanuts is so well known for, the idea that Al Bundy is a hopeless loser, but unlike Charlie Brown, its more funny to laugh at him because he's a far less sympathetic figure
Saria the Cat @ Apr 27th 2009 2:41PM
@Anticrawl: Yeah, the jabs definitely went both ways. I just didn't like any of it. I didn't like how women were portrayed and how they were attacked, even if they attacked back. Al Bundy usually got the last word (it's his jokes everyone remembers, not Peggy's ,right?) I'm not arguing about its potential as a major sitcom revolution or pop culture piece of the time, either. I just didn't enjoy it personally.
jbuers @ Apr 27th 2009 2:50PM
@Saria the Cat:
Do you not have a sense of humor? Do you have to take yourself so seriously? This is exactly why we can't have nice things!
(Also one of the reasons Al started NOMA'AM)
Let us not forget that there were men that NO MA'AM rallied against, too.
JuanDHexen @ Apr 27th 2009 3:28PM
Okay people let's settle down people this is a gaming site so let's talk about games. So do any of you think they'll make a Married with children game?

jumpshot @ Apr 27th 2009 4:29PM
Woah guys, let's take it easy on Saria. She's almost invisible from downvotes and that for stating her opinion! I didnt care for the show myself, as I was drawn more to the irreverant humor of the Simpsons personally.
Al sure had his moments, but I didnt watch it all that much and still don't really watch the reruns.

Mr. T., fighting Nazi's in South America. Well......that might be the damned most freaking awesomest thing I have ever heard. This makes 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand look like a serious plot. It's so hilariously comical......in fact, it almost reminds me of that South Park episode where they had the dolphins coming up with Family Guy jokes.
