"Basically we needed guys with deep knowledge in the game to make sure we ported the DC version correctly and there were no super esoteric bugs that only a hardcore MvC2 player could find. I'm glad they came in too, apart from many issues they found, they found a bug that would've totally ruined Magneto's square jump game."

Well, at least I'll still have a point to make(that I can beat infinite using, Hyper Viper beam spamming players with crafty usage of Spider-Man and T. Bonne.)

Ugh, filters.

"Classic" all the way.

To the guys saying the filtered sprites look better than HD re-draws: Are you retarded?

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I can't say that I'm excited about this. Fighting games don't seem to age as well as games of other genres and I'd rather keep my fond memories of games such as Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 than have them quashed by the reality of the cruel present. I played Street Fighter Alpha 3 (one of my favorite fighters ever - a game I bought for both the Dreamcast and the Playstation) the other week and I couldn't get into it at all. The memories of my earlier love for the game were completely killed.

Well, in my case they are more than memories. I still play this at the arcades whenever I get the chance. I guess an online, homebased version of it is something I'd want.

@heypaul
HDR was also rebalanced and uses GGPO netcode for its awesome online gameplay. which they did NOT develop btw

SF4? nice graphics but crap online gauges which less to 4 bar lagfests.

i love sf4 tho don't get me wrong! just wanna clear the air of some points you had were just a tad off

i'm gonna be annoyed if they implement the same online lobby/match making as super street fighter turbo hd ultra remix ++, not because it's a bad system (it's not) rather for the fact that sfiv has a lame lobby/match making. i could wait for the hd redrawn sprites. remember, japan=no labor laws. haha

and still don't understand the rabid love for this game...
maybe i got infinite combo griefed one too many times?

Crisp looks pretty nice, at least in the still posted above. Can't wait to see it in action on Thursday though. :D

MvC should be dlc upgrade for SF4. or they could update SF4 with 10 or 15 characters, 5 or 6 stages, repackage it all as" SF4: MvC" for retail and its a certified platinum hit before the first disc is pressed..

I rather have animated characters and the classic look rather than HDR redraws that show only two to three stages of animation. Either way, it'll be a worthy purchase.
