Microsoft should just put them in time out by giving them the RRoD. Resetting everything is pretty harsh. But that would be funny if the school system worked like that. Getting caught in college for cheating, then getting sent back to kindergarten.

Agreed, cheating on achievements is only cheating yourself of being a true gamer, but cheating on multiplayer is cheating everyone else.

If they were compelled to cheat/hack just to get achievements in gears 2, they most likely have done it in other games as well. Oh, and they probably all played Cabela's Safari.

Fine by me if they know for sure people are cheating. Like the guys in left 4 dead who survived survival mode for 18 hours. Just would suck if they started doing it and did it to someone who wasn't actually cheating. Doubt it would happen but could.

Cheevo hacking is dumb cause it gets you nowhere. Multiplayer hacking pisses me off cause it prevents me from enjoying the game. Those people should be banned. 2 month trials aren't common anymore, so banning a gamertag might actually keep this from happening.

what about all those F tards who lagswitch the games? those are FAR worse than the people who just glitch to level 100 because that has to effect on anyone else. i think the ones who lagswitch should get a FAR worse treatment. its a broken @$$ game anyway. if they take away my 35k gamerscore over this little crap im gonna be super pissed. there are SO many glitches and bugs that people exploit in this game, to gp after this one is ridiculous. EVERYONE cheats in gears 2 in one way or the other. to take away peoples ENTIRE gamerscore is ludicrious.

I'll be interested to see them go after the LAG SWITCHERS. Those guys are the worst. To affect/cheat everyone on the game because they suck is crazy.
Last weekened, I searched Youtube for lag switchers and found some videos of guys caught in the act. Why MS haven't acted sooner on these guys, when they have video proof, is idiotic. Check out that cheater, Ghos7.

The lagswitchers get host banned, thats all. And these guys who don't affect the game at all get 0'd. I don't think thats fair. Don't get me wrong they shouldn't have cheated, but at least make the punishment fit the crime. Lagswitchers who affect everyone should get a greater punishment, and guys who glitch the achievements should only have their GoW2 achievements 0'd, and their rank reset to a 0 which can never be increased.

Getting your gamerscore zeroed out for cheating is part of the Xbox live terms of use, that's why it's so harsh.
