More Sonic Unleashed DLC is impossible to write about

Bad news, guys. We were going to pass along that more Sonic Unleashed DLC is in the works (we just read about it on Sega's Twitter feed). But, within the confines of the English language, there's no way we can be more apathetic than the last time we had to tell you about Sonic Unleashed. Last time, we couldn't even finish the headline. We just can't top that.

I was going to get this game but everyone called it terrible even thought I though that the demo was pretty hot.

Sold a customer that game today, said he was going to make his kid play it. I asked if he was punishing his kid for something and he gave me a weird look.
Bottom line though is that if you liked the game then enjoy. I know I like games out there that other people mock or hate (Fox Hunt anyone?) so make your own judgement. Be a Shark, not a Sheep.

Well WINterfang, that story was all true. When your forced to talk to people all day long who will swear up and down that they have God of War 3 at home already or play Halo 3 on their PS2 all night long you start to get snippy.
Besides, havn't you ever been in a WalMart before?

I will buy 1,000 digital copies of this downloadable content because Sonic Unleashed is a very good game. Sonic! Game of the year 2011! Baked avocado gently rubs against my skin.

That's the problem with all of the 3D Sonic games. They're built on interesting premises that COULD make for a good game... But they're all rushed like hell. Since Sega only gives SONICTEAM about a year to make every one of them. So you end up with a glitchy mess of a game that might be enjoyable, but also irritating.
If they could double their development time, they might actually have a GREAT game for once. Not one that's just good/mediocre.

I would have bought this game in an instant if it didn't have the nightime levels at all. The demo was a blast.

Same here. That demo was frankly the most fun, fastest thing I had played in a long time. But I was also wary of the Werehog. I will pick this game up one day used for $10.

I don't get the hate. This is actually a fun game, and the Sonic daytime levels rival any levels from the Sonic Adventure series. I'm just going to reach out there and say something: Give the game a shot. Work through the werehog levels because they eventually become rewarding. The DLC of the daytime levels are awesome.

Sonic Unleashed is fun. It's great. Not just good, but not quick amazing(that would be Sonic Rush). It's a solid Sonic title and it's really nice to see the blue fella getting some quality into the series again.

I'll admit I like the game too. I'm not buying the DLC however.

I loved the game, save for the nighttime levels, which you start out thinking "These aren't so bad!" then by about halfway through the game, you just don't want to play anymore, due to their length, tediousness, and poor execution.
BUT the Sonic levels are, as far as Sonic goes, top tier Sonic. If you're prepared to hate on the Sonic levels, you better be prepared to hate on every single 3D Sonic, including the first Sonic Adventure :x

The game is not all that bad compared to the previous sonic title. Still feels a lot like a clone of Mario Sunshine, only it's faster and prettier to look at. That said though, the overall experience is pretty forgettable after the initial "wow, that's fast" thing wears off.
It's weird, but some of the sonic games from the previous gen consoles seemed way more enjoyable.

I'd buy DLC that removed the night time levels from Sonic Unleashed...
Hey SEGA, how about it?
The night werehog levels are pants, I will give you 400 MS points to make the game only the good daytime regular sonic levels.

Ahh, i actually fall into the mantle of "couldn't care less" for this one, too. If only because i have the Wii version, which Sega has treated like the bastard child from the beginning, despite the fact that it sold the most out of all the versions. I know its about platform limitations, but Sega should have figured out after Sonic 06's dismal sales performance against Secret Rings' excellent sales performance where their bread and butter is.

I have the Wii version of the game, but I like it despite what people say.. I just wish Sonics running stages felt as long as the Werehog ones

While Sonic Unleashed certainly had a lot of issues and was overly frustrating I still thought it was a pretty good game. Not great, not awful, but pretty good.
If the game was not frustrating (I mean if it had more floors) then it would be great. The werehog was kind of dull, but the levels were just far too long.
I suppose most people will just skip this comment because I have a Sonic avatar though :(
