At least it has bubble shields. To me, this game doesn't look interesting or fun at all, but i'll reserve judgement till after I play it. I have yet to play timeshift, other than the demo, and it felt boring, probably due to the fact that you can kill people without them fighting back

from what I read in GI, while it still does have some of that, it's less of a "time as a hack" like in Timeshift and more "You have a gun that shoots time"

I thought Timeshift would be cool too, but its the only game i've ever played where my expectations were dashed minutes after starting, and within an hour it was "retired", never to be played again.
Hard to say exactly what it got so wrong, the shooting was just "off", the enemies always popped up exactly where you expected them, the time mechanic was little more than a badly implemented gimmick, the story sucked, the graphics were great in set-pieces but competely generic everywhere else........
Guess it wasn't so hard at all.

This should be called, Borrowed Mechanics: The Game.

This looks pretty cool, but I'm always worried about console FPS'. For the most part I prefer them to PC because I just enjoy the gamepad format more, whether it's accurate or not. And that's rarely a problem when you're playing high caliber games like Halo, CoD, L4D, Orange Box, or really any AAA or AA FPS, but some of the ones made by less wealthy publishers or developers really seem to have shitty aim mechanics, no matter how much you adjust the in game sensitivity. That's what's making me worried about this game because Timeshift was one of those

Timshift had like the best tease trailer i had seen in my life, then i played that horrible demo, ugh.
Ill wait till i see the demo for this, then ill make full judgment.

how come a 2d platformer is the only game that can do time-alteration correct? i love braid but i would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see time manipulation done right. it's all about keeping it brisk, easy (to do), fun, and beautiful. none of these adjectives are demonstrated in that video :(

Mechanics like that are simply easier to implement in 2D than in 3D. That's all it is. I'm sure we'll see better time-related mechanics in the future, but until then you'll have to settle for what's out there.

Unreal engine game.... not interesting. I don't know why, but this trailer bored me.

Looks kinda gimicky.
The combat looks so frantic and busy, I don't think it will be that useful to stop and create cover. Just run around and shoot 'em. Also, anyone else feel like a frag would take out cover faster than "aging" it?

timeshift was a decent game. i assume this game will have similar fun value, ever there will be a slight lack of polish.

FPS market is so saturated. When are they gonna start making 2nd Person Shooters?

it's already iffy enough. The last thing they need is take time away from singleplayer to make some half assed multiplayer mode that no one will play even if it was phenomenal

The sound effect as he built up the cover had me laughing.
Doesn't look bad, just doesn't look really that good either. Feels like a Timeshit or Fracture type game.

@Manly Mcbeefigan (Mr. ESC):
Just read the reviews. Apparently the demo is much better than the full retail release.
