Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft totally in love with E3 2009

Maybe Nintendo will appeal to the core audience this year and announce Wii Fit 2 at E3. ;)

Microsoft needs to bring the goods, since their current lineup is looking rather slack (looking strong on its own, but its largely all multiplats), and i don't think Alan Wake is going to be the heavy hitter that would really make their holiday season shine. Forza 3 might help, especially if they can reveal it and punt it out the door before GT5

I think Sony's conference will be solid, but boring, if only in the sense that there will be no major surprises. I'm doubting a PSP2, only because of all the PSP titles they have scheduled for the fall. Why would they put so much effort into reviving the platform only to cut the legs out from under it with an announcement of something better?

As for Nintendo, the preliminary signs are positive. Nintendo shows what they have, though not all of what they have, and not everything has to appear in the keynote. From the show as an entirety, we could find quite a lot, between the localizations of a few games, as well as a closer look at many 3rd party titles, and finally games from the studios that have been on radio silence for two or more years (notably Retro Studios and Factor 5, though also stuff from HAL Labs and Intelligent Systems)

E3 is going to be rather good this year. I am waiting to see what MS has up its sleeve. because so Far Alan Wake is all I have heard of for this year and thats not a BIG deal.

Sony should be fine if they show everything they have scheduled to come out this year and not so much of whats coming out a year or 4 from now. I mean hell, Just showing Kratos again in DEEPER combat would satisfy most people. Then add more Uncharted 2 info, possibly a PSP2, hell maybe even some Twisted Metal, Netflix and they are EASILY blowing shit out the water.

Nintendo?? well what can I say here....ummm. Yea... Wii Fit 2?? A New Mario game?? Video Streaming service in the US??

We can all dream, right??

If they bring back the Booth-Babes, THEN , and only then, can they say, E3 is back.

Am I the only one who is perfectly happy with the current gen consoles? I really don't need a new console...I would much rather have lots of sweet games than a new console.

I'm sure that Microsoft has enough to keep the fans pleased. Something tells me that Sony will leave us feeling like we've been hit by the Megaton Hammer* and Nintendo will actually have one or two things that hardcore fans will want, if they haven't already shriveled up and died. My predictions:

Microsoft:
1) Alan Wake will be introduced and will actually be covered fairly deeply in terms of gameplay.
2) Splinter Cell: Conviction will also be brought back to light, and will probably end up being announced as an Xbox 360 timed exclusive (I can't believe that it won't come to the PS3, with so many fans on both the Xbox and Playstation sides).
3) Some type of FW update for the 360 that will bring it closer to the PS3's capabilities.
4) Multi-Platform games that will be coming this year like Bioshock 2.
5) Emphasis on Final Fantasy XIII's availability on Xbox 360 (this will be a reminder, as if anyone has actually forgotten).
6) Talk about how well Microsoft is doing in Japan (1 million units sold+)
7) Mass Effect 2 information.
8) Bring to light whether or not L.A. Noire will be multi-platform
9) Halo 3 ODST information
10) Gears of War 3 mentioned at the very least
11) Probably will NOT mention anything related to Halo 4, seeing as how they need all the hype and attention for the Xbox 720's launch.

Sony (PS3):
1) Information about how well the PS3 is doing despite the price and global recession and it's competitor's current standing in the market.
2) Firmware Update 2.7x or 2.8 that will almost completely close the gap in the few features that the 360 has had since launch
3) inFamous + Uncharted 2: Among Thieves information
4) Heavy Rain information
5) Gran Turismo 5 update
6) Final Fantasy XIII/ Versus XIII information (emphasis on exclusivity in Japan and Versus game)
7) M.A.G. information
8) God of War III information
9) Multiplatform games that are now available on PS3 (Dead Rising II, Lost Planet II) and *HIGHLY DOUBTFUL* pull a Microsoft and announce that Mass Effect 2 is multi platform.
10) Announce the exclusive game being made by Rockstar
11) Make clear whether or not L.A. Noire is exclusive or multi-platform
12) Bring to light that superly-awesome-secret-Megaton exclusive game we've heard about.
13) Discuss Multi-Platform games.
14) Discuss The Agency for 2010.
15) Kindom Hearts remake for PS2 and Kingdom Hearts III announced exclusive for PS3.
16) Price drop for Playstation 3 announced or will occur shortly after E3 with a AAA game.

Sony (PSP):
1) The slew of fantastic games coming this year and into 2010: LittleBigPlanet, Motorstorm, MLB '10 The Show, Rock Band: Unplugged, Final Fantasy Dissidia, Kingdom Hearts, etc;
2) More compatibility with the Playstation 3 (especially LBP) including Friends list, Ad-Hoc to the US and Europe, and Trophies, or at the very least, a tab to see and update your Trophies from the PS3.
3) PSP2 announced to be in development or availability at year's end. Does not have UMD. Much larger storage solutions and utilizes PS Store to it's full extent.

Nintendo:
1) Pretty much what happened last year minus Ravi Drums.
2) An ACTUAL Legend of Zelda game for Wii created by Miyamoto that takes us back to the Ocarina of Time/Majora's Mask era Link but grown up.
3) Kid Icarus game?
4) Metroid Dread?
5) Certainly another Mario IP.
6) Emphasis placed on the growing WiiWare library.
???) I'm sure there's stuff I haven't thought of. Reply me some gems.

Yeah, w000t, only about one more month!

I thought it was going to be mid-June before just now... so now I'm more excited. :D
