Trophies not coming to Street Fighter II HD Remix

Yeah... I think it's safe to say you guys at Joystiq can also remove Bionic Commando Rearmed from the "To be patched" list... unless Capcom is going to surprise us before the release of Bionic Commando.

Where did the information that this game would be patched if it is not from Capcom itself?
I would think that if joystick.com would list the game as "to be patched", it has reliable sources saying so.

To me and I think for a lot of people, trophy support is an important buying factor decision. This looks like tricking customers into buying the game by announcing that it will be patched later and once they get our money they "forget" about what they announced.

I do not trust patch announcements anymore. When I see one, I wait that it actually be delivered before buying the game. If the company fail to deliver then they don't deserve to have my money.

Another title that I won't be playing until the company patch it is Tomb Raider.

This is an absolute joke. What exactly is the point of being stubborn about this? The dude sounds childish as hell when he says "trophies were never promised". PS3 games that came out after summer 2008 were supposed to have trophies. Many lower tier games and lower tier developers didn't include trophies, which is understandable, but Capcom not doing it, and being a supposedly elite developer is more than a little stupid.

Obviously, someone needs to complain to Sony about this and put pressure on them, since they are more responsive than Capcom will ever be.

I bought this game only for the trophies. Capcom is sure putting themselves on the wrong side of the bed. Crapcom - Isn't enough to put the Sonic in your Boom!

Yea i was reading this yesterday made sad it seems like empty promises. But the update that was released was a month or ago was cool enough. Overall I wish capcom wouldn't say it and then take it back...i would've got it on the 360 but it's not a big deal. It would be nice if they are going to put trophies or patch them for bc: rearmed. Also street fighter hd came out in 08 so sadly it doesn't count as having trophies earlier.

But hey marvel vs. capcom 2 is coming out with trophies and it's the dreamcast version and ps 3 users are getting the exclusive treatment by having the demo!! woot!

My question should be posed is the definitive version the 360 since it has achievements??? I mean both the 360 and ps 3 are graphically the same. They play the same minus what controller your using is a argument all to itself. I feel the ps3 version is the same sans trophies and the online hasn't been glitchy or laggy but works really on the ps 3. Also game like re5, sf4, bioshock, rock band 2, guitar world tour, are examples where there is very negligible difference between telling the games apart it you where playing them blind without even knowing the "x" button and the "a" button are the same type of button to confirm your choice. Overall the ps 3 versions of dmc 4 and guitar world tour may not have trophies but content wise they are exact as the 360 version. It just seems expect for braid, the original dead rising, left 4 dead, halo 3 and gears of war... and vice versa little big planet, pixel junk monsters, mgs 4 valkyria Chronicles, both system are very similar and there should've just been a merger between microsoft and sony to make system.. sorry for the wall of text but this is the pattern i'm noticing over these past three years.

No longer supporting Capcom through purchases or DLC until they change their view on supporting the PS3 just as much as they do the 360. It's ridiculous to not include something you're already working for on the 360.

I think at this point it's a waste of time to expect Capcom to go out of their way and do anything for the PlayStation community.

I think it's time to stop waving them in and just cut them loose. It's not like they're making Megaman games anymore anyway.

I understand if they didn't have time to go back and work on a patch, especially considering that SFIV just came out (which was trophy supported). That's a pretty blunt quote, though. Usually game companies are a little more tactful than, "Hey, I didn't promise nothing," even when they reply to a post in the PS blog.

I'm sure Joystiq had a post where they said they'd "think about it," though. Otherwise, it probably wouldn't have been put into the "to be patched" section of the portal page.

Oh well. At least they're mandatory from here on out. I try not to care about that stuff, but I'll admit there were a couple of games I never bought because I ended up picking another game I wanted to play that had trophies (R&C Quest for Booty and Last Guy, for example).

Eh, I could care less. This game was merely something to tie me over 'til SFIV, anyway. Had it come out last Summer, as promised, I would have put more hours into it and probably would have cared a bit... but after some of the HDR team downgraded SFIV, delayed the game and my thoughts on the sprites (they were purdy, but not well animated), again, I could care less.

i dont care about SFII tbh, but them saying shit like "it was never promised" really pisses me off, fuck capcom.

i can't wait for this- i've deserved to win trophies for this game since i was able to talk! http://www.crownawards.com has them... now just have to wait for street fighter 2
