Guitar Hero World Tour May DLC lineup detailed

A recent Activision presser revealed Guitar Hero World Tour's downloadable offerings for next month, and boy, is it one eclectic hodge-podge of on-rails music. One of the packs is free, too! We love free hodge-podges.

May 7: Ferret/Metal Blade Track Pack (Free!)

"Dez Moines" - The Devil Wears Prada
"On Broken Glass" - Chimaira
"Grave of Opportunity" - Unearth

May 14: Pop Rock Track Pack (440

/ $5.49)

"So What" - Pink (160 / $2)
"Stop and Stare" - OneRepublic (160 / $2)
"Everything's Magic" - Angels and Airwaves (160 / $2)

May 21: European Track Pack No. 5 (440

/ $5.49)

"Disconnected" - In Flames (160 / $2)
"Oh Yeah!" - Housse de Racket (160 / $2)
"Look Good In Leather" - Cody ChesnuTT (160 / $2)

Like always, these tunes can't be downloaded in packs on the Wii -- each song must be downloaded separately for 200 Wii Points (except for the free ones, which are, of course, free). We've got videos for the first three posted after the jump!

yeah, their DLC store pretty much sucks :( I'm getting tired of looking for good music through their worthless catalog.

Am I the only one that wants MORE In Flames? Although I'd rather have something like Embody the Invisible, anything off Whoracle or Clayman instead of the newer material. Not that I didn't like A Sense of Purpose though...

Hell yeah more In Flames. Give me Jotun or December Flower just for the solo.

I would rather they put out some AWESOME DLC less often than a lot of crap more often. There are the occasional golden tracks (We are the Champions, both Jimi Hendrix Packs, a few I cant think of...) but for the most part its CRAP. Rock Band isnt MUCH better in this regard but by the shear volume of DLC they win by default having more GREAT songs. BTW GH metallica is one of the better games out there right now. It deserves DLC...anyway I forgot what my point was. Looking forward to In Flames though... Anyhow the whole GH vs Rock Band fanboy B.S. is tiring. Save your braincells for something useful, like drugs.

hmm...hopefully the metal tracks are hard, GH:WT has been pretty tame in difficulty, so much that RB is now harder than GH.

I feel the same way everytime I get online and see nothing but 90's bands flooding my Rock Band store.

Apparently you're not really looking in the store then. There are plenty of tracks from the 80's as well as modern stuff from the newer bands.

I can't imagine why you thought that was "whining". I didn't make the mistake of buying the product. If anything I was whining last month, when they put out a Steely Dan pack which I would have really liked to grab. Good products would make me whine, because it would strain my decision to boycott the franchise, and play my desire for awesome music against my decision to not scamper over and suck on Activision's swollen udders.
On the contrary, what you are seeing is revelry, and while you're free to make the cheap and lazy "Hurr at least I don't whine on teh internets" ploy, surely you aren't so dismissive of the webs utility as a goddamn communication tool to begrudge people sharing their smirking satisfaction with others? :P

WOW.... they dusted off an old ChesnuTT. The song is good but too lo-fi to probably be enjoyable. I'm glad it's gonna be available though... I enjoyed the cd this song was taken from. That was ages ago.

I don't think either game's DLC is necessarily exclusive.. but this sure is bad stuff and Rock Band's stuff sure is good.. :D

It was a nice streak of good DLC while it lasted. This month loses.

GH died the day World Tour came out imo.. because the only thing GH still had going for it was that it was the better "GUITAR" game, now it just sucks, Rockband is the clear choice..

Will my GH WT stuff work with all the RB2 stuff?
I can't be dealing with more plastic instruments, but still want RB2.

Honestly, play Guitar Hero Metallica.

It's the best "gutiar" game released as of now. So many fun solos.

I'd wager that next week's Rock Band DLC will be better than GH:WT's whole month of May DLC releases.
