We suggest calling in sick to work, ditching school and skipping Aunt Mabel's funeral (she might be a zombie herself, after all) if you haven't been a part of this game yet. Just don't blame us when you yearn for more undead cleansing the next day and end up (*gulp*) spending money!

Believe it or not, I still haven't really played much of this game. I missed it back when it was half off on Steam and I've been waiting for some sort of crazy deal like that to happen again.
I really need to get in on this zombie action.

This is true. It brought the topic of Zombie Rape to the media forefront.
After that, kids all across the nation were able to speak openly about Zombie Rape to their teachers, coaches and parents.
Before that Left 4 Sex, Zombie Rape was often depicted in drawing and fan fiction, but never often seen or discussed widely.

Ya know I was not expecting much when Survivor mode was announced, but it has been a blast. Got my first gold medal a few days ago, and we were screaming like girls when we made it, hehe.
Now when are we getting new campaigns Valve? Gotta keep the good times rollin'!

I assume Last Stand will be a new campaign, perhaps?
But yeah, I'm with you. I wasn't expecting much from survival mode, then I played it. So many maps for it and they aren't all identical with the same gear or anything like that. Which maps have you gotten gold on? I lasted 12 mins on the Church in Death Toll and that was hard as hell.

We made it to 11:45 at Terminal on Dead Air. We have yet to find a good spot on Chruch, where do you guys hunker down?

Nice, I have yet to try terminal in survival.
In the church we got in that small room with the fridge and pipe bombs. One person was right in from of the fridge, two were on the desk and one was near the door into the main church room. That spot is good for a few reasons. The main reason is that the smoker can't do anything really. It can pull the person in front of the fridge, but they get stopped on the wall, so he won't get pulled out if you are right up against the fridge. You're also really close to the ammo. Just run out after tanks.
As far as the tanks go, we usually take them in that room. Just autoshotty the hell out of him. If he goes after one person, then they may try to kite him into the main room while everyone else lays into him.
Sorry for my long response. Haha. I know that room doesn't seem like it's great, but it works! What is a good place in the terminal?

Terminal is surprisingly easy, just have everyone stay behind the U shaped desk ( the one with molotovs and pipe bombs) Smokers can't pull anyone out of it, and hunters need to jump over it, so they get dispatched quickly. Of course the Tank is the wild card, so we only scatter slightly when he gets close, autoshotty him to pieces, then back behind the desk.

Only problem with is that public games will be rubbish. So many freaking rage quitters. And not just the newbies, hell they may not even rage quit. Rage quitting is the biggest problem with that game, and while I know it is present in other games, it can be really hard to get more people in if someone rage quits. Hell last night I had a constant stream of rage quits in a Friends Only game.
I've also noticed that there seems to be a lot of people crashing (myself included) lately.

L4D was fun, but I've enjoyed the Nazi Zombie mode of COD5 much more :)

i have played l4d to death, and it is getting kind of repetitive now. The survivor mode is fun, but i was hoping for more maps in vs. Death toll is probably my new favorite map, dead air on the other hand seems not finished. There are many places the hunter can't get too that he should be able too.
Two other things that really need to be addressed are rage quitters and getting timed out from a server. There should be an option along with find a lobby, game in progress, and friends, called search for team. Where you search for a group of 4 people to play against, this would help weed out the rage quitters. As for the timed out problem you should have a way to rejoin the last game if its still available. If you access the steam console when in game, under players it shows you the recent games you have been, it could be implemented in there to rejoin the last game.
As for new campaigns being available in the future, i am not very familiar with the type of support valve offers to its games after it is released. I do know its doing a great job for tf2. But i am concerned there wont be any new maps released for the future.

I agree with you about the hunter in dead air. So many invisible walls, but I've seen plenty in Death Toll as well. Not as many, but still more than NM and BH.
The rage quitting needs to be addressed for sure. I've been having Friends Only games where people are rage quitting. Annoys the hell out of me. One premade team searching for another would be pretty slick. And I've been crashing so much recently. And it seems like I'm not the only one.
Valve is great for support of the their games. I assume they'll have another campaign eventually. It just takes them a while to put things out because they are so meticulous, usually.

It wouldn't end ragequits, but I'd rather see a 2-minute cooldown on people who quit multiplayer games, a la WoW's deserter debuff.
The bigger problem for me are modded servers being included in campaign searches. So damn tired of quick-playing my way into hunter games and moon jumping and unlimited ammo bullcrap.

another idea regarding the rage quits could be having a rating system beside each persons name. by looking at the rating you will know whether he is a team killer, rage quitter and what have you. Elle i like your idea, maybe 10 minutes instead of 2 though if they repetitively rage a game. Either way there are numerous ways to tackle this problem, the question is are they going too.
as for the modding servers i haven't played campaign in awhile, but i do run into them in vs. as well. It would be a welcomed change if they had a option to include or exclude modded serves when doing a search.
