It's the first Joystiq Podcast in the A.Mr.T. era (After the announcement of Mr. T: The Game, of course), and, as you can imagine, it's pretty much all we want to talk about. Oh, and our favorite candy bars. Those are the hot topics this week. Also: Is it fall yet?
Thanks to second-week champ Conor O'Byrne for turning the J-Pod hosts into Pixel Junkies.

Are the guys as bitter and defensive about everything as they have been in the past couple of episodes? Obviously, it's not as enjoyable to listen to people who don't seem to be enjoying themselves complain how about they're unappreciated because other journalists are calling them out on some of their reporting deficiencies.

This episode is totally happy. It's all Mr. T and candy bars, honest.

Hey Mark, if you're question was ""Hey can you help me understand what Joysticks work with the 360 for Tom Clancy HawXs and 1943 but can also work on the PC for games like Battlefield Heroes?"" then I can answer it right now.
No. No, I absolutely can't help you.

Is it possible to revisit the choice for opening music now that it's been around for a few weeks? It's a leaden, emo Radiohead knockoff and it's a pretty incongruous setup to an upbeat and hilarious show. The Nick Cave ditty was a hell of a lot better.
Yes, Chris, I know after listening to your rant a couple of podcasts back (what's up with all the ranting of late?) that questioning Joystiq is by extension questioning the taste and intellect of everyone who reads it and listens to the podcast, but I'm willing to take the risk of bearing a fusillade of defensive derision for offering this suggestion.

I can't help but wonder if we've had the best candy bar discussion already. Perhaps something for the Killjoy or @ryangan to investigate...

While Justin was talking about Griffin and Travis moving, I got the WKRP in Cincinnati theme song stuck in my head. Now all I can think of is Griffin in one of Herb Tarlek's suits. (shudders)

Glad you got to Zeno Clash, Jud'n. I'm glad you couldn't explain the game either, it makes me feel less inept. You might compare it to another Source based game, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, or perhaps for the sake of the latter title, you shouldn't. This was an IGF finalist for art direction, I believe, and having it preorderable on Steam almost immediately following GDC (for $10 day 1) was brilliant. It was available for $15 thereafter up until release (again on Steam). Loved the game, but happy I paid half price, and eagerly anticipating any future game support (DLC like the Maw, they keep getting my buck twenty five for those extra levels).
