Yeah, pretty weird that the icon for Perfect Dark Zero says 'Bean'. wtf!

Kinda throws the entire thing into doubt. That doesn't make any sense.

Go get a used N64, a controller with a decent analog stick, an expansion pack, and PD - now. Seriously, it's that good.

I have an N64 and an expansion pack sitting in my closet. And still, I wait for better anti-aliasing, achievments, and a comfortable controller.

I'm okay with that.

HELL'S YES!

I have been dreaming about an updated XBLA Perfect Dark ever since they started bringing classic games to XBLA!

For me PD is the greatest FPS ever made. You add online co-op and multiplayer (and a smooth framerate) and you have perfection!

There were 4 of us ages ago that played the hell out of Perfect Dark on N64 like nobody's business. I tried moving them over to Time Splitters 2 on the GC with no success. Don't think they could handle the difference in speed :P God I hope they make a Time Splitters 3 someday.

They DID make Timesplitters 3. And it had online play. And it was great. No one showed up :(

It's all about the Farsight. The Slayer is crazy fun too.

Also Hurricane Fists + Marquess of Queensberry Rules.

I pray that you can ban the Farsight this time round. That crap was cheap. X-Ray Scope, shoots through walls, 1-shot kills, turns you into an AIMBOT... seriously, that was cheap.

I never got to experience the greatness that was PD.

Although I did love Goldeneye. It's too bad Rare hasn't made a game of their former quality lately...

Maybe, just maybe the icon is not from Perfect Dark Zero. But Perfect Dark 2, which is being made with the codename "Bean"!

And no bad mouthing PDZ in this thread! Or I'll set the sharks on you!

PDZ sucked, terrible plot, lousy unimaginative gameplay, no resemblance whatsoever to the previous Perfect Dark game other than using some of the same names on characters who look nothing like their original counterparts. Rare took one of the best FPS games ever made and churned out a generic, boring, and just not very fun sequel that was at best an abuse of the original license.

Sorry, had to. I was just *really* disappointed by PDZ.

Anyways, list of things I want in PD XBLA:
- Slightly improved textures and models
- Native 1080p and 720p rendering
- 8x AA and 16x AF
- Online multiplayer, including a matchmaking system (maybe rankings)
- True dual analog controls with adjusted autoaim
- Solid 60FPS framerate at all times
- Small bugfixes from the original N64 game

PD will be the only retro XBLA game that will have better graphics than its XBOX 360 sequel. See, that wasn't a rip on PDZ.

Cool. Never really did play PD that much, however I was master at GoldenEye (if they bring this over to XBLA w/online multiplayer I may have to buy a 360).

I'd imagine it would be easier to play with an N64 controller, but maybe because that's what I'm used to for this game.
Controls should work well with 360 controller, as long as they're customizable.

The real question is... How on a 360 do you unlock the cheats that required the N64 Transfer Pak with Perfect Dark GBC inserted?

I would like to see more Dreamcast remakes. Toy Commander, Re-Volt, Chu-Chu Rocket, Jet Grind Radio, Shenmue are a few I can think of right now. Most are probably small enough to meet space requirements too. A boy can dream...

I never played much N64. That crazy controller really intimidated me.

Sometime, we still get togheter to play this game. We stil have it laying around in a friends house.

We bought the whole set (game, console, 4 controlls, expansion pack) between the 4 of us and we still have a blast after we finish playing brawl

I'm pretty sure the Bean Project was Goldeneye for XBLA. They used the PDZ image just to make it more secretive. http://mundorare.com/news/2008/02/goldeneye-007-is-not-getting-reincarnated-on-a-different-game/

I went back and played Perfect Dark on the 64 a few months back but litlerly became ill due to the bad frame rate and blurry graphics. An XBLA port would be very, very welcome.

So, I absolutely do not care about any 360 retail exclusives, but XBLA is looking really good:

Castle Crashers
Virtual On
Perfect Dark
some others that I can't remember right now...

Even stuff like Vigilante 8 which I had some fun with on N64 are there.

Too bad 360's are so ridiculously expensive, though... :(

Arcade: $200 + $100 hard drive + $100 Wi-Fi adapter = $400
Pro: $300 + $100 Wi-Fi adapter = $400
Elite $400 + $100 Wi-Fi adapter = $500

The minimum price of a 360 is $400. Don't bullshit me saying I could go without a hard drive or Wi-Fi.

Or people that don't want to run a long ass cable all around the house, or multiple long ass cables when you use your console at multiple TVs, like me.

By the way, I don't see why people are voting me down. I'm not buying another $400/$500 system, guys. It's got to get cheaper, first.
