I think it sounds like a game, you are the bad guy, swindling people out of money while enjoying the extravagances of the fiat currency world. The goal is to control the entire game world, otherwise you end up in this kind of situation....game over!

I'm calling Lloyd now to set up a meeting with Ari.

This movie will be bigger than AquaMan

Add Helen Hunt jumping out of a window, and you've got a winner.

I for one am pissed off about this...lets glorify a drunk driver because he wrecked a 3 million dollar car!? thats be man my brother was killed by a drunk driver and this only make this guy more popular and famous and that really angers me...

I highly doubt the movie would glorify the driver. It's more to tell the fucked up story.

Do enzo's really cost 3 mill?

they're not glorifying him. they're showing his humiliation to everyone in the world who doesn't know about it.

On his defense, it was his Ill gotten car. And I think it's early to say this would be glorifying.

If you're not familiar with this story, follow the link to the Wired article. Glorification seems unlikely given this sordid history here.

Weak movie idea. Not enough people know or care about this story. Who are we the viewer suppose to root for? Sure as hell not the Gizmondo guy? Imagine how lame the wreck scene will be since this crap flick will have ZERO budget. I imagine a fast zoom in on an Enzo and the sound of shattering glass or maybe him trowing his arms across his face and the sound of shattering glass. Either way just awful.

I think it'd actually be pretty good since most of the movie would probably be centered on Erickson's criminal career and hopefully, the crash scene would be a climax scene of sorts.

The article they licensed the rights to is one of my favorite pieces that Wired has ever run. There's a ton of great potential for a movie in this story.
