I can't wait for more TF2 class videos. I think the Pyro will just get subtitles when he talks. You can sometimes make out some of the inaudible mumblings out of his mask.

Best till last? Shit that could be any of them. The Spy is awesome, the Medic is mad, and maybe they could unmask the Pyro!

I reckon Pyro will be the last one. Come on, the ambiguity of his character, and the fact we don't know what the purse in his/her locker is from.

What's Pyro's nationality again?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NxY4Oy2nFlw - Ignis Solus is good, but a tad to long. This combines The Pyro with the pure awosemness of Portal.

I play it on live all the time. I'm hoping your remark was sarcastic because I don't find it hard to host any game at all.

But it sucks having to wait for the update, I'm getting bored of the game.

And don't tell me to get it for PC because i already have it, i just prefer FPS's on consoles.

I just got this a week ago, as part of the Orange Box sale on Steam. Havn't played it much because online is HELL!

Not saying it's bad in anyway, just not very noob friendly. Can barely walk out the door without getting owned.

Any tips?

I've been playing for just over a year and average life span is still between 30-60 second's. Except as a Engy, they have a good lifespan.
Just tag along with a group, yell for medic when you need it and you'll soon pick it up. maybe look for a noob only server too.

Er, TF2 is one of the most noob friendly online games out there. Valve made a point to make it easy to pick up but hard to master. Like any idiot can be a Heavy, but it takes experience to know what he can and can't do, how to avoid snipers and spys, how to use and look after a medic and how to aim ahead of the enemy, so he walking into the stream of bullets.

There's few instant deaths, the only time headshots count is if you're a zoomed in sniper and no bloody grenades except for the demoman, who as no gun, so catch him at close or far rage and he's screwed. The only real weak point is the back, but that's your fault for letting a spy or pyro get behind you. All this was to stop super obsessive bastards owning new players with face shots and grenade spam and alienating them.

Just play as medic until you get the lay of the land. It will mean everyone will shot you first of course, but your team will still love you.

If you get on a server with good players and you're unfamiliar with the flow of the map then yea, I can see it being a rough start. I would advise experimenting with the classes a bit and when you find one that is fun for you stick with it for a while. Learn that one class and you'll have a foundation for playing the others. Opinions vary on the easiest to get into, but I would say the soldier is pretty straightforward. Don't get caught alone and pay attention and you'll soon be having a great time :)

@ The Doctor

Yeah, I got this game a week ago as well and I've been playing it nonstop ever since. I've already put more than 10 hours into the game. I had already gotten The Orange Box for the 360 when it first came out, but I decided to buy it on Steam now that I have a PC that can handle it. Simply put, TF2 on the 360 and TF2 on the PC are two entirely different games.

The trick to getting better is to just play. The first thing you'll figure out is what class suits you best. For me, those classes are the Soldier and the Pyro. Everybody has a play style they like best. Personally, I wish I could play as a Spy. I just can't though. Their play style, though awesome, doesn't suit the way I like to play.

After choosing a class or two, you can then work on getting better at capping and fragging. Sometimes I'll have matches where my K/D ratio is 4:1, but then (all too frequently) I'll have matches where my K/D ratio is 1:2 or less.

I figure it'll be a while before I get really good, but that's okay. In the week I've been playing the game I've already come to realize that it only gets better the longer you play. Stick with it.

@ The Doctor: Try out any of the classes, but the ones I recommend most would be Pyro, Medic or Heavy. Engi is good if you understand how to plant the sentries, but getting used to that takes a little time while you learn good spots for them.

Stay clear of Demo, Spy and Scout at first. As a Spy or Scout, you'd probably just die a lot. As demo, getting used to the regular grenades is tough, but sticky nades would help you get a few kills.

Don't be worried about dying. Get on a fast respawn server if you don't want to wait. Hope this helps. Good luck!

Actually, I would recommend playing as an Engineer at first. They are mainly defense guys, so you can stay in your base or near your control points by your other teammates. If you get a sentry built quickly enough you won't die right away, which helps take down the frustration factor.

I'd also stick to one map. Two Fort is probably the easiest to understand quickly, but even if you stick to one of the others, you’ll get the lay of the land and that should help.

I don't think there's even a point in asking anymore. It's like they're just waiting for the last few interested parties to sell/trade in their copies and *completely* lose interest before saying "Hay Gaiz, we gotz update 4 u!"

not trying to be a jerk but i can't imagine the tf2 community on xbox was very team oriented anyway, probably just chaotic and confused as hell at the same time with all the kids trying to play it like halo or something.

well, it was at first, but after it died down, what was left were the team oriented people who you want to play with. but still, i gave up on it too. id never trade the game in, but it hasent been in my 360 forever. and i really doubt that a title update now would bring the community back.

me and 7 of my friends from school play all the time and we're team oriented and we always find good competitive teams, but it's starting to die down again, and Valve said they have the update done but it's too big and they're trying to fix it....I really doubt it at this point though...

Being a Douche is another sign he's not a TF2 player. I'd say TF2 has one of the best and friendliest communities in gaming.
But the other guys have giving solid advice, just Play, only way you get good at TF2, also looking at what other people do, you soon find the sneak ways to attack people, the places to build sentries, how to flank with a Pyro :).

Pyro is probably the easiest to start with, don't expect to live long, but you can and will cause huge amount's of damage, especially when you learn the maps for back path's n unlock the Backburner :D. Engies luv you too. Just fire random spurt's to fry them spies.
